Chapter 1 Pre-Installation Considerations
Proper installation ensures the best possible performance and reliability of the MOTOTRBO
Repeater. Pre-installation planning is required. This includes considering the mounting location of
the repeater in relation to input power and antennas. Also consider the site environmental conditions,
the particular mounting method (several available), and required tools and equipment.
If this is the first time this type of equipment is being installed, it is highly recommended that the
user read:
this entire installation section before beginning the actual installation, and
the Motorola Quality Standard Fixed Network Equipment Installation manual, R56
(6881089E50), specifically refer to the information on ground connection for lightning
protection.
1.2.2 Humidity
Humidity conditions should not exceed 95% relative humidity @ 50 C (122 F).
The outlet must be connected to an AC source capable of supplying a maximum of 280 W. For a
nominal 110/120 VAC input, the AC source must supply 5 A and should be protected by circuit
breaker rated at 15 A. For a nominal 220/240 VAC input, the AC source must supply 3 A and should
be protected by a circuit breaker rated at 10 A.
Pre-Installation Considerations Equipment Mounting Methods 1-3
One of the most important considerations when designing a communications site is the ground and
lightning protection system. While proper grounding techniques and lightning protection are closely
related, the general category of site grounding may be divided into the following section.
1.6.2 RF Ground
This type of ground is related to the bypassing of unwanted radio frequency energy to earth ground.
An example of RF grounding is the use of shielding to prevent or at least minimize the leakage of
unwanted RF energy from communications equipment and cables.
Notes
Chapter 2 Mechanical Installation
This section describes the procedures to unpack and mechanically install the MOTOTRBO
Repeater. A variety of mounting methods are possible depending on which type of cabinet or rack
(if any) has been selected to house the repeater(s).
Notes
Chapter 3 Indicators and Connectors
NOTE: When repeater is in Dynamic Mixed Mode, both Digital and Analog LEDs are used to indicate
the dynamic status of the repeater. When repeater is idle, Digital LED status is solid BLUE

Kapitel 1 Installationsvorbereitung
1.4.1 Stromkreisberlastung

in Abbildung 4-1 illustriert.
(6881089E50).

Chapitre 1 Considrations pralables linstallation
maximal 46 C.
1-2 Considrations pralables linstallation: Ventilation
1.2.2 Humidit
domaine dactivits.

Capitolo 1 Considerazioni preliminari
Linstallazione appropriata del ripetitore MOTOTRBO ne assicura affidabilit e prestazioni ottimali. A
velocit, fino a raggiungere quella massima a 46C.
1-2 Considerazioni preliminari: Ventilazione dellapparecchiatura
1.2.2 Umidit

Rozdzia 1 Czynniki uwzgldniane przed montaem
Prawidowy monta zapewnia najlepsze moliwe dziaanie i niezawodno przekanika
MOTOTRBO. Wymagane jest planowanie przedmontaowe. Obejmuje ono uwzgldnienie miejsca
montau przekanika w stosunku do doprowadzanego zasilania i anten. Naley rwnie si
zastanowi nad warunkami otoczenia miejsca instalacji, okrelon metod montau (dostpnych
przeczyta:
cay niniejszy rozdzia przed rozpoczciem waciwego montau, oraz
Instrukcja instalacji sieciowego sprztu stacjonarnego wg norm jakoci firmy Motorola, R56
[Motorola Quality Standards Fixed Network Equipment Installation Manual, R56] (6881089E50)
zawiera szczegowe informacje na temat poczenia uziemiajcego zabezpiecze
odgromowych.
1.1 Przegld montau
Ponisze informacje stanowi przegld montau przekanika MOTOTRBO i wyposaenia
pomocniczego.
Zaplanuj monta, zwracajc szczegln uwag na warunki otoczenia w miejscu instalacji,
wymagania w zakresie wentylacji, uziemienie i ochron odgromow.
Rozpakuj i sprawd sprzt.
Wykonaj monta mechaniczny na obiekcie.
Wykonaj podczenia elementw elektrycznych i kabli, wliczajc w to:
- Okablowanie zasilania wejciowego AC
- Kable koncentryczne do anten nadawczo-odbiorczych
Po montau przeprowad test kontrolny funkcji sprztu w celu sprawdzenia prawidowoci
montau.
Rozpocznij dostosowywanie parametrw przekanika wedug specyfikacji klienta (np.
czstotliwo robocza, PL, kody, kod koloru itd.).
1.2 Warunki rodowiskowe na obiekcie przeznaczonym do montau
Przekanik moe zosta zainstalowany w kadym miejscu odpowiednim dla elektronicznego sprztu
telekomunikacyjnego, o ile warunki otoczenia nie przekraczaj specyfikacji urzdzenia w zakresie
temperatury, wilgotnoci i czystoci powietrza.
UWAGA:Przemienniki DR 3000 VHF i UHF od lipca 2008 s produkowane z funkcj
energooszczdnego wentylatora. Po wczeniu przekanika przez uytkownika, wiatrak
wcza si czasowo w celach testowych. Jeli temperatura wewntrzna przekanika nie
przekracza 30C (86F), wiatrak nie pracuje. Wiatrak wcza si i pracuje tylko wtedy, gdy
temperatura wewntrzna przekanika przekroczy 30C (86F), a prdko jego obrotw
wzrasta wraz z rosnc temperatur. Przy temp. 50C (122F) wiatrak pracuje z pen
prdkoci.
