Description Process control through PLC System for Tar Injection in Blast Furnace # 1. The system
involved process control through the control logic developed in Ladder Logic Programming
software. The Logic controls the output by comparing the inputs from field instruments. The
PLC output controls the flow of COAL TAR by controlling various instruments like Control
Valves, Diverter Valves by comparing inputs from Temperature, Pressure & Flow Transmitters
etc.

b) Project - Lube Oil Pipeline Project, Mahul Refinery¸ BPCL

Description INSTRUMENTATION LIMITED has provided automation and control for 12 Kms pipeline that
BPCL is using for transfer of lube oil from Mahul Refinery to Wadi Lube End (Packing Plant)
and “C” Installation as an intermediate temporary storage. System is designed in a way that
parameters of each three different stations that are 6 Kms apart will be available at other
stations also but control is restricted to individual station only except ESD (Emergency Shut
Down). Interlinking of stations is provided through OFC (Optical Fibre Cable) in ring topology.
Role Primary Team Member: My role was to Test the Logic developed by the Development Team
