General Objectives :
At the end of clinical rotation, the student will be able to develop their nursing knowledge, skills and confidence in the
performance of nursing intervention/ response in dealing with emergency/critical cases and /triage.
• Familiarize students in ER setting, different equipments, procedures and ER drugs including its action, usual dose,
and route of administration used to treat life- threatening condition and able to locate those necessary equipment in
case of emergency situation
• Demonstrate skills in assessment, problem identification and management of risk factors
• Perform a primary assessment, of patient airway, breathing, circulation and stabilize each function as necessary
• Demonstrate self confidence to skillfully manage emergencies in ER for patient with Virtually all types of major
emergency problem
• Determine the urgency of patient condition and deciding on priorities of care
• Understand the principle of triage and the role of emergency team member during emergency situation.
