Interest Approach

You can not fix a wrinkled heart

1 big heart for the example
About 22 hearts so each student can have one
Go around class and have each person give an example of bullying or tell of a time they were bullied
For every example or story make a fold in the heart

- Pass out paper hearts
- Perform activity
- Use powerpoint to depict the
different bullying types
- Each person will present
their own slide
- Follow up with the activity testing
their knowledge on the material
- Create groups for the students
1) Opening activity shows students what the lesson will
entail.
2) Powerpoint explains types of bullying, prevention, and
reporting.
3) Presentation activity, demonstrates types and scenarios.
4) Exit activity tests knowledge.

- Teachers able to identify the different types of bullying in
real life.
- What can we do as teachers in an effort to prevent
bullying?
- What actions should we take if bullying has been
 identified?
- Questions involving each type of bullying.

Guided & Independent Practice

Split class into groups

Give each group a bullying scenario to act out with guidelines of what to perform

Evaluation/Assessment Summary Evaluation/Assessment Details

The evaluation will be tied into the practice
and the closure. The guided practice will
test the students understanding of the
different types of bullying and the closure
will serve as a reflection of the students
learning.
Activity gives each person the opportunity to show their
knowledge of one of the types of bullying.
The sticky note is an an open ended representation of
the persons understanding. They must summarize what
theyve learned which will give the teacher an accurate
depiction of what points were made and which ones
need to be reinforced.

Closure

The students will write what they have learned on a sticky notes and this will be an exit ticket.
