Death of a Salesmans letter

By: Collin Stanfield

Dear my husband Willy,

I dont know how to say this but I believe that youre trying to kill yourself. I wanted

to bring it up person, but I dont know how to say it. Ive already told Biff and Happy. Ive told

them to be nice to you. I hope they do.

Im very worried about you. Youve been in another place. Youve been absent minded,

distracted. When you drove, you told me you almost hit a child. I fear for your mental well-

being. I hope you can get a job in the city.

Those accidents youve been getting in, I heard they werent accidents. The inspector

says that there was a witness, and that you crashed on purpose. You went through the railing on

purpose. The shallow water saved you from dying in that crash. The inspector believes her.

I also noticed that there is a rubber tube connected to the water heater. I take it off when

youre gone, but I put it back on when you come home. I feel like Im insulting you by doing so,

that Im not respecting your decisions.

I hope I can get this to you before youre successful in killing yourself.

Your loving wife,

Linda
