Fluid Mechanics

You may be asked about pumps(efficiency curves,NPSH, cavitation and priming etc.),some common
dimensionless numbers, basic equations like Continuity Eq. and simple problems based on them.
(may also ask boundary conditions for a specific situation). Don't go deep just brush basic concepts.

Heat Transfer
Basic questions on modes of heat transfer viz. Conduction,Convection & Radiation. heat exchangers
(basic design and working),condensers (like difference between partial and total condensers),
difference between types of re-boilers(kettle and thermosyphon) dimensionless numbers etc.

Mass Transfer
Flooding in packed bed columns, basic design of plate type columns(Absorption and distillation
column),types of plate and their working (sieve, bubble, valve etc.) basics of other mass transfer
operations like drying,cooling,crystallization etc.

If you have done any intern or summer project, revise it seriously. They will ask you many
questions from it. For eg. if you had done any inter in a plant they will surely ask you about process
used. They may also ask about problems faced in that plant, what you learned there, unit operation
used there, what you suggested to improve process etc. It is very important part so take it seriously.

apart from it there may be HR questions judging you team work skills, leadership skills etc.

Employers generally train chemical engineer graduates before giving them actual work (this training
may span over a year), so they usually don't expect much from a recent graduate. So instead of going
into details try to brush basic concepts and try to show them that you want to work in their
company, firm etc. Also don't forget to read about company that you are being interviewed for.
