04.01.01.04.01, 04.01.02.04.01 APPLICATION OF GEOGRIDS

Description of geosynthetic materials

Uniaxial geogrids and relevant HDPE connectors resistant to chemical and mechanical impacts will be used as specified in the design.
Geogrid must be fabricated of HDPE plate oriented in single direction so as the obtained strips will be characterized with high degree of molecules
orientated toward the strip direction that will also maintain their continuity through the transverse joining rib.
The required tensile strength for 120 year design life that will cause maximum deformation of 1% for grid 1 must be 8.21 kN/m, and for grid 2, 18.14
kN/m, at mean temperature of 200C. The said values represent relation of maximum tensile strength of geogrids for maximum deformation of 1% at the end
of 120 year period and calculated safety factor. Due to lack of national legislation, the safety factor was calculated in accordance with British standards
applied to geosynthetical materials.
Tensile strength in control tests at short loading must be 52.5 kN/m for 1 geogird and 88.0 kN/m for 2 gird, with peak deformation of about 11.5% for
the said force value.
The Manufacturer of geosynthetic materials that will be used for construction of this type of structures must be provided with adequate certificate issued by
relevant independent institution stating that characteristics of fabricated geosyntetic material are in compliance with the solution applied in the design herein.
For the purpose of elongation, each geogrid junction must be capable to withstand 100% of tensile strength at control tests.
Geogrid must be inert to all chemicals naturally found in soils and must be stabile at ambient temperatures. Geogrid must not be susceptible to hydrolysis
and must be resistant to aqueous solutions of salts, acids and alkalis (pH = 2.0 t 12.5) and non-biodegradable. It must also contain minimum 2% of
dispersed carbon black which gives a high degree of protection by preventing UV light from penetrating beyond a thin layer at the surface.
Description of works
The structure made of reinforced earth will be constructed according to instructions stated in these Technical Specifications. The following must be taken
into account:
The first row of concrete blocks must be precisely aligned to escape mistakes that can occur in joints in the course of wall construction.
Cutting of blocks, if necessary, will be precisely performed by means of adequate cutting tools.
The adjoining geogrid rolls must not be overlapped but positioned edge-to-edge so as problems referring to block levelling could be escaped. The end ribs
must be precisely cut off by hand to enable proper connection and required fire resistance (geogrid must not be visible on the outer wall side).
In the course of work execution, the following must be borne in mind:
Filling must be properly compacted especially along subgrade
In each construction phase, compacted layer must be in compliance with subgrade-geogrid connection to escape voids formation
Geogrid must be placed at right angle to the subgrade surface with tolerance of 50 mm, and spaced at 5 m
Sufficient tension shall be applied to ensure geogrid together with connector is firmly attached to the block wall
Tension shall be performed by special tool by applying one- man force.
Continuity of geogirds should be avoided. If this is necessary due to better use of material, then continuity should be enabled through the use of
appropriate joints (HDPE bars) supplied by the same Manufacturer engaged for geogrids and connectors.
Measurement and payment
Unit price for geogrids includes as follows: procurement, cutting and placement of geogrids as well as all relevant accessories for tensioning and continuity,
if necessary.

LEVELLING BASE COURSE, 10 CM THICK, UNDER FOUNDATIONS, PILE CAPS AND TRANSITION SLABS MADE OF CONCRETE, CLASS
15.

Description of works
Work includes construction of levelling course made of compacted concrete of relevant class specified in the design so as work in area free of earth, sludge
and other similar material can be enabled.
Material
Concrete of B-1 class (B 15) shall be used. Relevant additives will be applied according to general specifications for plain concrete, if necessary.
Execution of works
The levelling course in thickness specified in the design will be spread once the excavation has been completed and foundation pit levelled. Production,
transport and placement of concrete are given in general specifications for plain concrete. If no water is identified in foundation pit, concrete will be placed
by means of adequate vibrators over the previously cleared and levelled bottom. Considering place and purpose, concrete can be placed through the use of
concrete pump upon the agreement with the Contractor. Concrete will be cured 2-3 days until adequate strength for people movement and handling of
equipment, reinforcement and formwork is obtained. If water is identified in the foundation pit, pumping will be recommended only in a case of significant
flow. After dropping the level to the foundation pit bottom water pumping will continue together with simultaneously concreting and progress towards the
pumping point where concrete will be placed. Afterwards, pumping of water will stop and water will be allowed to sink the placed concrete. In a case of
significant water flow, tremie concreting will apply through the use of adequate funnel (as stated in the Item Preparation, transport and placement of
concrete, class MB 20 for foundation pit sealing. In this case, concrete must be as dry as possible, so as cement washing can be reduced to minimum.
Evenness of the completed layer may be smaller than in other cases. If such is the case, the blinding course may be applied in two layers. The top layer will
be performed by means of funnel-under water and subsequent layer will apply after completing the top layer. The procedure to be applied will depend on the
Supervising Engineer's opinion. Thickness of the blinding course may be increased, if necessary. In this case difference in excavation and placed concrete
specified in the designs will be paid to the Contractor. The blinding course top surface must be in compliance with the foundation bottom level.
Measurement and payment
Measurement will be done per m3 of placed concrete, as specified in the design. Measurement will include complete work for material, water pumping,
compacting, levelling and formwork.

05.01.02.02 PREPARATION, TRANSPORT AND PLACEMENT OF CONCRETE, CLASS MB 20 FOR FOUNDATION PIT SEALING

Description of works
Tremie concreting method will apply. The price will also include divers' work and use of adequate equipment for execution of works under water.
Tremie concreting must be performed in a way to prevent separation of both cement and water from the concrete mix. Concrete for supporting members to
be placed under water must contain minimum 400 kg of cement per m of finished concrete, aggregate with maximum grain size of 32 mm, and fluidifier as
concrete agent providing settlement to be around 15 cm. Cement must be of adequate quality and resistant to water agressivity. The funnel to be used in
concreting is composed of pipe having diameter of 25 cm minimum and members provided with joints with sealed flanges. Funnels for concreting must be
supported in a way to enable spreading throughout all working surface as well as to enable fast dropping when concrete flow need to be slowed down or
stopped. At the beginning of works, flow must be disabled to prevent water entering into pipes and must be up to 20 cm from the bottom. After the funnel is
filled with concrete batch, flow must be regulated by slowly lifting the end that will always be maintained in the placed concrete. Concrete flow must be
continuous. Water pumping and surface cleaning will start once the concrete has reached the required strength.
Measurement
Measurement will be done per m3 of placed concrete, as stated in the design.

MODIFIED BITUMEN MEMBRANE - 2 LAYER SYSTEM

Scope and Content of Works:

The work under this item includes the construction of a modern waterproofing system over a constructed concrete deck in the area specified in the Design,
which implies the provision of all plants, equipment, materials, and labour, and the execution of all operations related to the procurement of materials,
transport, and construction of a waterproofing system. The Hydro-insulation will be applied by a two layer system. Materials used for waterproofing: two-
component reactive epoxy resin (for example SIKA Ergodur-500, Villasseal or similar/or better); quartz sand; elastomer modified bitumen SBS - 5 mm
bridge desk waterproofing membrane like first sealing layer; plastomer modified bitumen APP - 5 mm bridge waterproofing membrane like second sealing
layer. All materials must be certified. If any certificate expires, the certificate would be delivered before the commencement of works. Equipment to be used:
equipment used for shot-blasting (shot-blasting machine, power supply generator, shot-blasting granulate); equipment used for Epoxy layer (air compressor,
mixing equipment, adequate epoxy brooms, devices for storing silicate sand); equipment used for Bituminous Layers (gas-burners, adequate isolation
brooms, devices for rolling the bituminous sheeting (all min. 2 pieces).
Execution of Works:
Hydro insulation works have to be done during good weather conditions, respecting the prescribed limit values for temperature and air humidity. During
hydro insulation works all other works on that part of the object have to be stopped, especially traffic with vehicles. Before starting with the bridge desk
waterproofing works the concretes surface must be: clean (without dust or oil stains), dry and levelled (without bulges and edges), without any porous and/or
segregated spots, sharp edges have to be grinded off or filled with suitable composition. The works will start under Fascia, footpath and New Jersey barrier
area, which will be protected with concrete and the elements (fascia beams, kerb blocks, NJ barrier). Later on the hydro insulation of the carriageway will be
performed. Works on the installation of bridge desk waterproofing are performed in the following order:
Cleaning superstructure: Before starting with the bridge desk waterproofing works the concretes surface must be: clean (without dust or oil stains), dry and
levelled (without bulges and edges), without any porous and/or segregated spots, sharp edges have to be grinded off or filled with suitable composition.
Shot blasting the area: The concrete surface has to be shot-blasted with the machine
Application of the epoxy component (300-500 g/m2): The epoxy resin (two-component) should be evenly distributed using suitable rollers or sponges in
the way that no clusters of materials in form of little pools appear.
Application of the quartz sand: Fresh basic coating is being besprent by dry quartz sand with granulation (0,2 - 0,8 mm) in quantity enough for the surface
to be saturated (500 to 1500 g/m2). The left over sand has to be removed by blowing out, with brush or broom after the epoxy resin hardens.
Filling uneven parts of the surface with epoxy mortar (mixture of epoxy resin and sand up to 2 cm, in the proper ration 1:3)
Pull off test: Every 500 m2 on the finished epoxy layer, before execution of the bituminous sheeting a pull off test has to be performed. The testing
should be done acc EN 1542, and the testing consists of three tests. The required minimum value individual test >1 N/mm2, the average of the whole
series (3 tests) has to be greater than 1,5 N/mm2.
Application of the first sealing layer with gas burners: Before welding, the bitumen membranes should be positioned on the plate following the traffic
direction, from the lower point to the higher, with a space of 1m between them and a longitudinal 10 cm folding (overlap), transverse 12 cm. During
welding the membrane is being slowly and evenly pressed onto the surface, whereby the air pockets below the membrane are being removed. The
bituminous sheetings have to be installed as roof tiles in the longitudinal direction of the roadway.
Visual inspection of the first sealing layer: Visual inspection that no air bubbles or voids are located in the first sealing layer.
Test of the first sealing layer with pull-off test: To ensure the adhesion of the sheeting, a series of 3 samples for pull-off method is to be performed for
every 500 m2. The sheeting has a good adhesive strength if the average result of pull off test is: for temperature of 30C 0,3 N/mm2, for 23C 0,4
N/mm2 , for 15C 0,7 N/mm2 and for temperature 10C adhesive strength 1,0 N/mm2.
Application of second sealing layer with gas burners: The second layer should be a half track width of the membrane.
Visual inspection of the second sealing layer: Visual inspection that no air bubbles or voids are located in the second sealing layer.
Protection of the waterproofing system executed sheets in the overlapping area.
Epoxy coating is not to be performed under the following conditions: During rain, dew and fog; Surface temperature below 8 C and more than 45 C; The
surface temperature must be at least 3K above the dew point temperature. For bituminous sheeting: The rolls of sheeting have to be stored vertically; The
ambient temperature and temperature of sheeting material for placing shall not be less than 5 C; The surface temperature shall not be less than 4 C. The
properties of polymer-bitumen strips shall meet the quality requirements set out in SRPS U.M3.300 compliant with EN ISO 9001 and regulations in other

09.02.01.02.04; 09.02.01.02.05. FIXING A 1kV OVERHEAD NETWORK WITH BUNDLE ASSEMBLED AERIAL CABLE X00/-

Description of works
Low-voltage network provided with bundle assembled aerial cable (Serb. abbr. SKS) can be installed on masts or laid on the structure face wall, depending
on specific conditions. The design herein will include network installed on masts.
SKS may be installed on wooden, concrete and steel masts.
In the course of design work, special attention should be paid to prevent SKS to touch any obstacle when swaying. If the cable is routed through the wood,
for example, branches must be cut off 1 m around the SKS axis.
When defining span between masts, climatic conditions, connection arrangement and allowable maximum stress should be taken into account. Data on
maximum deflection and maximum stress of 8 kg/mm2 shall be taken from the relevant Manufacturer's tablets.
Mast height shall be define so as minimum distance between the lowest point of SKS at temperature of +40C could be maintained as stated below:
- 4 m in areas inaccessible for vehicles
- 5 m in populated and vehicle accessible areas
- 6 m along roads and in densely populated areas.
Use of multi-purpose masts will be allowed. If the same mast will be used for installation of both high-voltage and low-voltage network together with SKS,
then SKS will be placed under the high-voltage network bearing in mind that distance between the lowest high-voltage conductor shall be 1.5 m minimum.
If the same mast will be used for placement of post office installations and low-voltage network together with SKS, then post office installations will be
placed minimum 0.5 m below SKS.
Pulling of SKS will be performed by applying mechanical tensioning procedure through the use of motor hoist placed on one side of the cable route and
cable drum on the other. The cable will be pulled through the wheels placed on each mast and fixed to the element that will also cover neutral wire. Pulling
of SKS with drum mounted on hydraulic hoist provided with brake will be enabled by winding the wire on hoist. Since special attention must be paid on
cable not to be drawn on the ground when unwinding the bundle cable, relevant force must be applied to the hoist. After pulling, segment of SKS with
neutral wire will be cut off. Tensioning of SKS shall be checked on a dynamometer that will also be used for tension force control. Tension force shall not
exceed the value indicated by the Manufacturer (600 kg in the worst case).
Sag shall be monitored during cable pulling.
A tensioned SKS shall be left 24 hours on pulleys for forces in spans to equalize and then fastened with tension and suspension clamps.
Tension clamp shall serve to tension the bundle over suspension neutral wire. It shall be assembled of a body, yoke and two pins
The bundle before the clamp shall be wrapped with plasticized band to prevent its unravelling. The bundle shall not be interrupted at clamping point but only
the neutral wire shall be separated from it and pushed into clamp.
Prior to installation of neutral conductor into suspension clamp, the clamp shall be mounted on ring already suspended on the cantilever. Once installation
and tensioning of neutral wire have been performed, the ring shall be fixed and remained in place. The remained segment of the bundle cable shall be
tensioned by plasticized strap on the clamp.
For SKS suspension on corner pillar, the similar equipment as for linear suspension shall be used. To maintain SKS on the fixed position, in addition to
plasticized strap on the clamp, SKS shall be also fixed with plasticized strap on both clamp sides at the distance of 80 cm.
If deflection angle is greater than 30, tension clamp shall be used.
An SKS shall be extended with splices at the points where it joins bare overhead network and cabled low voltage network. Splices shall be ensure good
mechanical and electrical bond of conductors, voltage drop at a splice being less or equal to voltage drop of an equivalent spliced conductor length.
Measurement and payment
Payment will be done per tensioning assembly and per meter of length of SKS.

Especially: installation cables for indoor connections (in the course of reconstruction, for example), insulation of polyethylene, type , although use of
PVC insulation, type (SRPS N.C3.220) shall be also allowed.
Distance between connection point (low voltage cable) and indoor connector with SKS shall be 30 m maximum. Auxiliary mast will be erected for greater
spans. Tensioning of connectors shall be performed by tensioning of the entire bundle to obtain deflection not less than 0.5 m at the moment of tensioning,
including mid-section in the middle of the span in relation to straight line through points accepting SKS (P-8). Electro-mechanic will perform tensioning of
connectors with no auxiliary tools.
Conductors of the ground connector shall not terminate at the structure entrance, but routed up to the supply point in distribution frame.
Special Specifications

Especially, interruption can be allowed at the structure entrance if indoor connector is in use and there is no need to be replaced, for example: due to
replacement of bare wires or G/A (At/G) conductors with SKS, due to increased length of the outdoor connector due to change of connecting point
(displacement of low voltage conductor mast), due to failure on the outdoor connector (Item 4.8)...
The ground connector will be placed on support on the structure wall. It can be also installed over the structure roof, if due to low height or other reasons,
on-wall installation is not possible.
Measurement and payment
Payment will be done per assembly.

13.11.1.A. Installation of Litho-Cardboard Tube in the Bridge Deck of diameter 750 mm

Scope and contents of works:

The work under this item refers tothe placement of litho-cardboard pipes for voiding of structure with caps and drain tubes, which covers supply of material,
transport, labourand the execution of all operations on the assembling, fixing, and closing of pipes.
Material:
Material used for construction of pipes is litho-cardboard which was made waterproof during the process. The thickness of pipe walls is provided in the
Manufacturer's specifications, which guarantees the ability of pipes to counter the weight of concrete above them, the weight of reinforcement and the
uplift forces during concreting. Features of pipes shall be proven with the Manufacturers compliance certificate.
Execution of works:
The pipes shall be placed into designed position upon punching of holes at their lowest points and a prior installation of plastic drain pipes 25mm, whose
length must be sufficient to penetrate to the bottom edge of formwork, meaning that at those places formwork must also be penetrated. At the upper end,
tubes must be conically expanded and fixed to the tube. If this proves to be practical solution, punching of holes and installation of tubes may be performed
while placing pipes. Pipes are fixed and protected from "surfacing" during the placement of concrete, in accordance with the Manufacturer's instructions.
This operation must be performed with the greatest attention. Pipe shall be secured from descending towards lower reinforcement and formwork, using the
appropriate spacer with the required spacing. Wire is used for fixing, and "chairs" of reinforcement, spot-welded to the bottom reinforcement, can be used as
spacers. The usage of wooden boards, beams and supports is not allowed for achieving and maintaining of designed position of pipes. At the ends, pipes are
closed with together supplied caps, by the Manufacturer. The installation of remaining reinforcement and concreting can be performed upon completion of
mounting and closing of pipes, and after inspection and approval of pipes and reinforcement by Engineer. During reinforcing and concrete works, pipes must
be protected from damage. Broken, punctured or deformed pipe shall not be approved and shall be replaced. In the process of concreting, the position of
pipes must be monitored, especially during the stages before installation of concrete above the pipe, because the load of fresh concrete mass uplift is rising
with the height of incorporated concrete. Likewise, the drainage openings shall be monitored. The occurrence of intense leakage of cement slurry indicates
the punctured pipe, and this requires the immediate undertaking of appropriate measures.
Measurement:
The quantity to be paid to the Contractor at the agreed unit price shall be the number of m1 of placed pipes, as per design.
Special Specifications

Payment:
For quantity determined in the above-described way, the Contractor shall be paid at the agreed unit price that makes a full compensation for all material,
transport and work on the installation of pipes according to the scope of works under this Sub-Section of the Technical Specifications.

that constitute this protection system must be certified and attested. The certificates, attests and accompanying documentation for these materials are
submitted to the Engineer for approval of the materials.
Measurement and payment:
The works are paid by square meter (m2) of the concrete surface covered by protective coating of the interior walls of the tunnel tube (regardless the surfaces
of individual executed layers). The executed quantities are determined by measurement of the executed works on the protection-covered interior walls of the
