WATER TREATMENTS WORKS FOR THE CITY OF BULAWAYO

We advise that the Client, City of Bulawayo has instructed that the following
items be priced in addition to the Tender as an addendum. The specifications is
attached

SCADA Specifications for Aisleby 1 and 2

The SCADA System should comprise of three units;


1) Local HMI (Human Machine Interface)

A local HMI is needed for monitoring the statuses of the various plant and equipment
within Aisleby 1 and 2 plants. The local HMI should run on a PC at the plants office.
The local HMI user should be able to start/stop pumps, clarifiers and also monitor the
measured operational parameters obtained from the respective transducers and
transmitters on the operating equipment. Alarms and trends should be viewable on this
HMI.
The HMI should be license free and its design should be customizable according to City
of Bulawayos requirements.

2) Programmable Controller

The programmable controller will be used for data acquisition and processing via its
serial, analogue, digital and TCP/IP modules. The controller should have the rigidity and
robustness of a PLC and computational and connectivity capabilities of a PC. The
controller should monitor various signals from flow meters (flow meter reading and
cumulative volume flow), pumps (suction and delivery pressure values), motors
(voltage, current, motor runtime, motor status) and sump level transmitters. The
controller should also trend the receiving signals in real time and cumulatively store in
database for reporting purposes. The controller will also be integrated with an on-site
power smart meter

3) Web based Application

The web application should provide the users with a feature rich interface that is
responsive across all internet enabled devices to help monitor plant process anywhere,
anytime and on any device. From the web interface, authorised users should be able to
analyse trends, configure warnings and alarms, benchmark normal operational plant
parameters.

The contractor is to supply pressure gauges (with 4 20mA signal output) and
ultrasonic level transmitters (max measuring range 10 meters)
