This course introduces students with some major topics related to language phenomena by using any possible tools and
procedures. All analyses are directed to applying these apparatus for practical purposes. Topics to be discussed in this course
include definitions, varieties and examples of discourse analysis, basic phenomena, discourse types, method, analysis, and
evaluation in discourse analysis

The assessment of student achievement is based on a number of aspects, which include students attendance, participation in
class discussions, group and individual class presentation, assignments, mid-term test, and the semester examination.
