You are a member of the marketing team of an

environmental organization. You will research and create
a means of raising awareness for the effects of
deforestation and globalization on Indigenous Peoples.
Your creation must incorporate the principles we have
learned thus far in the unit and be displayed in an artistic
way. You will present your proposed piece to your peers
for feedback and eventually in a symposium to members
of the school and greater community.

In groups of three research the impacts of deforestation

and globalization on Indigenous Peoples. Once you have
an understanding of the topic and its effects begin to
create your means of creating awareness. The final
product you create is up to you but must raise awareness
around deforestation and globalization in an artistic
means. You will have time to work through the design
process to create and improve your final product.

You will present your findings to your classmates for peer

evaluation. These presentations will be informal, and
short, you will use the attached rubric to give your peers
feedback on their project. Then to share your work you
will be part of a showcase with the rest of your
classmates where members of the school and your
families will be able to view your work.
