This Module has a number of pathways. They are as follows

Option 1 30 credits live project + 15 credits studio practice

Option 2 30 credits live project + 15 credits work placement

Option 3 30 credits studio Practice + 15 credits work placement

Option 4 45 credits studio practice

Whichever option you are studying it is important to think about your work
holistically, how does it all fit together? This module is intended to extend your
practice and encourage responsive thinking and making. It is important that
the live projects are not seen as something you do outside of your practice.
They are an opportunity to bring your ideas and skills to new situations. You
are developing your work.
What you will do:

Option 1 (30 credits live project + 15 credits studio practice)

You will have selected to work on one of seven live projects that were
presented to you at the end of semester one. Across semester two you will
attend all site visits, studio sessions and lectures and make new work in
response to the specific conditions of your chosen project.

In addition to this you will develop work in the studio, which will be discussed
with a tutor on alternate Friday sessions.

Option 2 (30 credits live project + 15 credits work placement)

You will have selected to work on one of seven live projects that were
presented to you at the end semester one. Across semester two you will attend
all site visits, studio sessions and lectures and make new work in response to
the specific conditions of your chosen project.

In addition to this you will undertake a minimum of 15 hours of relevant

professional experience, which will be discussed with a tutor on alternate Friday
sessions.

Option 3 (30 credits studio Practice + 15 credits work placement)

You will have selected to work in one of the studio groups and will continue to
develop your work in semester 2

In addition to this you will undertake a minimum of 15 hours of relevant

professional experience, which will be discussed with a tutor on alternate Friday
sessions.

Option 4 (45 credits studio practice)

You will have selected to work in one of the studio groups and will continue to
develop your work in semester 2

What you will make:

Although you may be responding to a pre-selected context it is important to
remember that you are making your work. Live projects should not be seen as
something that sits outside of your work but as an important opportunity to
develop your practice in a new context. As such all forms of outcome will be
accepted. It is important that you demonstrate the appropriateness of your
response in relation to your context through your supporting material.

How it will be assessed:
