Capacity Forecasting IP Version 2

The Capacity Forecasting IP has undergone a recent update to enable

seasonal resource consumption modeling. Utilizing multivariate
regression techniques, the new IP accurately forecasts shifts in
system capacity due to system events tied to a business calendar.

Some additional setup is required in order to take advantage of the

regression UDFs, but a migration process has been included in the
setup scripts to make the transition from Version 1 to Version 2
as seamless as possible.

No additional steps are needed if there are no seasonal analysis

requirements. The standard process of generating forecast models
from install to running the reporting macros has not changed.
