Method of Statement for OPTIROC HGG 70SP

1. All defective areas of concrete substrate shall be removed accordingly

using appropriate equipments to a sufficient depth beyond the repair area
to expose sound aggregates.

2. Upon removing defective concrete, the substrate shall be cleaned from

any dust, laitance, grease, oil, curing compounds, impregnations, foreign
particles, wax and other bond-inhibiting materials.

3. If power wash is used, the surface shall be allowed to dry thoroughly

before grouting procedure takes place. The cleaned surface shall be
protected against redeposit of any bond-inhibiting materials.

4. Ensure that all formworks are firmly secured to the substrates to avoid any
leakage.

5. Add approximately 3.5 to 4.5 litres of clean water to each 25kg bag of
OPTIROC HGG 70SP.

6. Mix thoroughly using a hand-held or mechanical mixer for 3 7 minutes

until a homogeneous, lump free mixture is obtained.

7. Application can be done either by manual gravity technique or by using a

suitable grout pump.

8. For grouting thickness exceeding 75mm in a single casting, the addition of

10mm aggregates is recommended to reduce temperature rise.

9. All exposed grout surfaces should be protected with curing compound or

water cured.
