1. I would put it in between Australopithecus anamensis and Australopithecus
afarensis because the age of the skull is 3.5 million years and the skull looks
similar to these.
2. The Genus type is Australopithecus garhi. I would put it in between
Australopithecus africanus and Australopithecus aethiopicus.
3. Trends that im seeing are that the eye holes are getting smaller, the teeth are
changing size, and the jaw is becoming smaller as well.
4. Bipedal locomotion came first and scientists know this because Lucy's
skeleton (first hominid skeleton) is adapted for bipedalism but her brain was
the same size as a chimp.
5. Rainforests shrunk, turning into Savannahas, and the hominids had to adapt
to the change causing diversity in the population.
6. Because Neanderthals are subspecies of Homo sapiens, and their bone
structure is very similar.
