Syllabus for Test-1 for the course ME F241 (Machine Design and Drawing) 2016-2017: Second Sem

OPEN BOOK: The textbook Shigleys Mechanical Engineering Design" 10th Edition, McGraw Hill
will be allowed along with any standard scientific calculator. No other printed material or notes are
allowed. The 9th edition can be supplemented with suitable photocopied material from the 10th edition.

Chapter 2: Section 2-1 to 2-21

Chapter 3: Section 3-1 to 3-20

Chapter 4: Chapter 4-1 to 4-17

Chapter 5: Section 5-1 to 5-13

Chapter 6: Section 6-1 to 6-17.

Chapter 20: Section 20-1 to 20-9

The syllabus includes portions discussed in class along with the ones left for self-study.

Note: Any knowledge gained during primary/secondary schooling or earlier compulsory courses at BITS
are automatically a part of the syllabus.
