8. Summary

Differences in the design calculation according to ASME Code or


AD-2000 are mainly result from different allowable stresses due to
different safety factors

The demands from the Chinese regulations affect both, ASME and
AD-2000:
Design calculation (Safety factor, joint efficency)
Manufacturing and Testing (extend of NDT)

The main differences of the 2004 and 2009 Edition of the Chinese
Regulations are:
Different Safety factors
Higher allowable stresses
Lower extend of NDT
