TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Madison Elementary School - Substitute Teacher (January 2016

- Present)
I have worked as a substitute teacher in the Madison Elementary
School District in various classrooms; including Junior Kindergarten
through Fifth Grade as well as in Physical Education.

STUDENT TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Madison Elementary, Madison, South Dakota (September 2016

December 2016)
During my student teaching experience, I taught in a general
classroom of twenty-four third grade students. As the result of having a
large number of students with various learning styles, I had the
opportunity to work with a variety of learners and a variety of ability
levels. I created many detailed lesson plans for math, language arts,
science and social studies. As a component in many of these lessons, I
incorporated activities that included technology such as a Promethium
Board, iPads and computers. Prior to my student teaching experience, I
developed a classroom management program that I implemented in
the third grade classroom making the necessary changes needed
based of student needs throughout my student teaching experience. In
November, I also had the opportunity to participate in Parent-Teacher
Conferences where I communicated with parents about the social,
emotional and academic progress of their child.

OTHER EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES

Forest City Elementary School Summer School Teachers
Assistant
(Summer-2013 and 2014)
In these experiences, I worked as an associate in both a fourth grade
