DAHUNI FOUNDATION 2017 ROAD SHOW BRIDGING THE EDUCATION GAP

Background:
The Dahuni Foundation is hosting a five-day educational program from April 24th
29th in Boyolali, Central Java. This event is part of our ongoing collaboration project
in the education sector with the Boyolali Government.
Our objective is to improve the overall English language skills of High school
students and English teachers in the Boyolali Region. The first step is to complete a
comprehensive assessment providing an actual indication of where their English
comprehension skill stands. The results will be used to develop long-term, tangible
and sustainable projects in the future.
We expect collaborating with a number of local and international organizations such
as GREAT Indonesia, Bule Mengajar (BM), Jogja Debate Forum (JDF), AVID
(Australian Volunteers for International Development) and Australian Consortium for
In-Country Indonesian Studies (ACICIS) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).

Afternoon session Workshop on effective teaching method
Wednesday, April 26th

Saturday, April 29th Tte--tte food bazaar, introduction of Dahuni
Foundation Debate club and cultural performance from
Boyolali students and volunteers
Requirements:
- Holding a valid passport
- Genuinely interested to make contribution to the community
- Comfortable working with students and teacher
- Willing to stay during the program with local host family

Roles:
- Interact and engage with students and teachers in an academic setting
- Provide English language support
- Help facilitate the event
- Assist in the assessment process

What Dahuni Foundation provides:
