ABSTRACT
Perioral dermatitis also known as granulomatous perioral dermatitis is a chronic disease
that affecting the pilosebaceous follicles caused by a fungus.The etiology of perioral dermatitis
is unknown,however long term use of topical steroids for minor skin alterations of the face often
precedes the manifestation of the disease. Symptoms are itching accompanied with form lesion
appear in the form papulopustule at predilection areas such as chest, back, upperarm and
sometimes in the neck area, but rarely in the face. Diagnosis is based on complaints, location of
itching, morphologyof lessions and confirmed by KOH examination. Other investigations is to
find organisms in histophatological preparations and sometimes accompanied by follicular
rupture and inflammatory markers. Approach of the treatment is by eliminating both the
predisposing factors and provide treatment.

ABSTRAK
Dermatitis perioral disebut juga sebagai dermatitis periorifisial granulomatous merupakan
bentuk inflamasi kulit yang tampak sebagai papuloeritema, vesikel dan pustul yang timbul
terlokalisasi disekitar mulut, hidung ataupun mata. Penyebab pasti dermatitis perioral belum
diketahui dengan jelas. Penyebab tersering yang sering teridentifikasi adalah penggunaan
kortikosteroid topikal pada wajah. Gejala subjektif khas adalah sensasi nyeri atau terbakar dan
bentuk khusus berupa lupoid dermatitis perioral dimana papul terlihat lebih padat dan besar
berwarna merah kecoklatan disertai dengan skuama dan infiltrat. Diagnosis berdasarkan
anamnesis, pemeriksaan fisik, dan pemeriksaan penunjang berupa pacth test maupun secara
histopatologi. Prinsip penatalaksanaan dermatitis perioral adalah dengan menghentikan
penggunaan steroid pada pasien pengguna steroid.
