ABSTRACT
This research was carried out in SMP Negeri 1 - RSBI Cimahi, entitled "The
Influence of Human Resource Development, Competency, and Job Satisfaction to
Performance of Teachers in Junior High School 1 (RSBI) Cimahi". The Preliminary
study results, obtained by the finding that employee performance is not ideal. Among
the various cause factors found, allegedly the most dominant influence in terms of
human resource development, teacher competence, and job satisfaction, is still low.
Therefore, the problem which is formulated includes how to develop human
resources, teacher competence, and job satisfaction. How much is direct and indirect
influence of human resource development, teacher competence, and satisfaction to
the performance of teachers in SMP N 1 (RSBI) Cimahi.
The research method used is descriptive method of analysis, carried
out on all the teachers, where all members of the population have the same
opportunity to be studied as a whole, with the number of 70 teachers to be the
respondents (survey). Data analysis technique used is the technique of correlation
analysis to determine the degree of closeness relationships between research variables
and path analysis technique (Path Analyst). The results may indicate that there is
significant influence between human resource development, competence, and job
satisfaction, individually or in group, to the performance of teachers.
The conclusions from the research indicate that human resource
development, teacher competence, and job satisfaction in effect at this time
significantly influence the performance of teachers for 65,30% and the remaining
34,70% influenced by other factors which is not examined. Based on research results
it is presented several suggestions, among others: the need for efforts to enhance
human resource development with appropriate techniques human resources
development such as a design, financing, implementation and evaluation planning
with appropriate and transparent manner human resources development, utilizing
trained human resources, the teachers who have undergone national level training
should be placed on structural RSBI position, so that the program is held by related
experts. Training activities and development are systematically evaluated, including
the manager / executive of education and training of an institution, such the computer
and language institutions chosen truly qualified.
Quality of the competency of teachers in Junior High School 1
Cimahi needs to be increased by increasing the intensity of formal education and
teachers' subject matter consultation programs. Quality of job satisfaction in SMP
Negeri 1 Cimahi needs to be increased by increasing the factors that cause job
satisfaction among others: placing the human resources in the right place, payment of
appropriate fees, appropriate job supervision. The quality of Junior High School 1
Cimahi teacher performance should be increased by always supervising the quality of
work, quantity of work, work schedule, and thus the effectiveness of the work will be
accomplished and by itself will improve teacher performance.
