2 Corinithians

Its a letter its personal, and letters are cool.

Hes writing to a group of people and yet hes saying how great God is
that shows he really means it, because why not just say that to God
Himself through prayer?
Its really honest. Paul went through brutal suffering, and yet hes
absolutely buzzing in this letter. He just loves Jesus so much. But hes real
he gets that suffering is a thingbut God is a bigger and better thing.
V19 Jesus Christ the Son of God is always Yes and never No.
V20 Christ says Yes to all Gods promises. This is why we have Christ to
say Amen for us to the glory of God. ____ thats so cool. Everything God
has done and does is pointing to Jesus in Jesus, all of Gods promises are
fulfilled. I love that it says we have Christ to say Amen for us --- its
like, Jesus has totally got our backs.

Paul suffered a lotbut all he wanted to do was to let the other Christians
know how much he cared about them.
V14 I am grateful that God always makes it possible for Christ to lead us
to victory

It is by and through God that we do everything.

Gods work is really important and hed use sinful people to carry out his
work!? Crazy!
We work by Gods agenda, not our own.
Its so hard to understand how awesome God is if you dont know him
One of the way God wants to show people Christ is through people we
say: if God did this, or why doesnt God do this??? But God actually wants
to use people in the plan to bring others to Himhow awesome?! Because
we are sinners, yet God considers us valuable. V6 Now God is shining in
our hearts to let you know his glory is seen in Jesus Christ.
Constantly bigging up God
Theyre so strong they have every reason to want to give up, but they are
so on fire for God.

V13 if were crazy, were crazy.but if theres even the slightest

chance this is true, you better find out.
V17 Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is
forgotten, and everything is new. ((Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a
new creation; the old has gone, the new has come. Lots of things offer to
make us new, and theyre not bad things, but nothing offers complete and
utter transformation. Losing weight doesnt make you a new person
 because you have to keep it off and put in effort to stay that way; beating
an addiction doesnt make you a new person because you still have to
fight against old cravings that linger. All the things that people use to
make them new are just conventions being used by an old
person..that just makes them the original, but clothed in
fitness/goodlooks/kind words etc. But what I love about this is that it tells
us that we become entirely anew. We are not defined by anything that
weve done wrong, and defined only by Jesus love. I often think of a
picture someone once described to me God loves Jesus more than
anything because Hes perfect and obeyed and glorified God fully, and
because Jesus took our place on the cross, God now looks at us and sees
Jesus.so, God sees us through Jesus tinted glasses. I love that.
Because if youve successfully fought alcoholism, but slipped back into it,
youre viewed by the world as an alcoholic (just as you originally were).
But to God, even when we sin and fall short of what God wants of us, he
still sees us as that new person that new creation: he sees us as he sees
Jesus. And I think that is just so cool. I am viewed by God as though I
were Jesus, the holiest and most perfect man even though Ive let him
down so many times, and I could do absolutely nothing to deserve that.
Amazing. In fact, how often are we treated or shown goodness/kindness
when we dont deserve it ? infrequently. Its just such an alien concept.
Christ makes peace
Gods peace and forgiveness is offered through Christ (its not separate
from Godit is Gods)
God is begging you to listen to our message -------- God longs with a
heavy heart to see people restored to the relationship they were designed
to have with him

This is the day for you to be saved V2

V14 Stay away from people who are not followers of the Lord be
#careful

Stay away from everything that makes our spirits and bodies unclean
Love Christians- really love them. And encourage them in Christ
Know that sadness can bring us closer to God he is near to those who are
weak

Be generous
We didnt deserve anything that Jesus gave to us and he gave up so much
to make us rich

God loves people who love to give. After all, He is the greatest giver
 V12 What you are doing is much more than a service that supplies Gods
people with what they need. It is something that will make many others
thank God.
V15 Thank God for his gift that is too wonderful for words!

we destroy every bit of pride that keeps anyone from knowing God.
pride is our biggest enemy. Its not just about thinking youre better than
someone, but about whether or not yyou will allow God to enter and tap
into your heart
Have a correct assessment of yourself
The goal is to bring the good news to those who dont yet know it
God is the only one truly worth bragging about even thinking that is hard
to admit to!!

Even Satan tries to make himself look like an angel of light. He is

deceptive, and he IS powerful. Dont be deceived.
Paul went through soooooooooo much. And yet God loves him and Paul
clung so tightly to God. The fruits of Pauls work were astonishing, even if
he suffered brutal persecution in his time.
It can be hard to be burdened with worry about other peoples state before
Christ but this is a faithful friend to God and to man.

Even the spiritual darlings of Christianity struggled with pride

Gods grace is sufficient not only that, it is above and beyond our wildest
dreams
Our weakness is not too weak to be used for good by God

Final Warnings and Greetings its serious stuff. Paul is real about how
important Christs message is.
The power God gave Christ is the same power He gives to us. Amazing!?!?
All we can do is to follow the truth and not fight against it v8
Paul talks in a way which makes clear that Christ is alive!!
Sin deserves punishment the wages for sin is death -> but Christ offers
us a way out!
Dont be complacent. Test yourself are you really living a life that shows
you are in Christ?
Get along with one another and live peacefully
