1) Reinforcement Work
The main duties assigned were:

1. Making bar schedules

2. Calculating weight of the reinforcement bars

3. Inspection of the arrangement of reinforcement bars in beams,

columns and slabs.

2) Surveying and Leveling Work
The main duties assigned were:
1. Leveling of slab, beam and staircase landing formwork
To get the accurate floor height in between two floors

2. Marking the 1000mm lines on the columns and lift

walls
As a reference line for placing beam bottoms, slab soffits
and for floor finishes
3. Setting out of grid and column offsets
As reference lines for placing kicker in column
formwork and to check verticality

4. Marking the lines on slab formwork for sideboards and ducts

To mark the edge of the slab for the bar benders in laying the bottom r/f net
and for carpenters to fix sideboards.
To mark the locations of ducts to avoid tying of r/f and putting concrete.
5. Leveling the surface of the concrete
To ensure the slab is properly leveled and
the slab has the required thickness.

6. Spot Leveling
To evaluate the level of the slab and to analyze the finish floor level.
3) Formwork
The main duties assigned were:
1. To check the verticality of the column formwork

2. To inspect the beam bottom heights

3. To record the daily man-power

The main duties assigned were:
1. Measuring and checking the height
of stools

2. Measuring and recording the elongation during the Tendon Stressing.

3. Recording the time taken during the Tendon Grouting.

5) Office Work
Checking the Invoice Bills (Request from the Sub Contractors Interim)
with the bar schedules from Basement Level to Third Floor Level.

Making the Labour Supply for Post-Tension (PT) work in MS Excel.

Updating the Concrete Cube Test Records in MS Excel.

Conclusion
12 weeks of internship was an excellent and rewarding experience to
learn how theoretical knowledge applies in the practical scenarios at
site.
