People have their own set of theological belief, whether they believe in or dont
authority that created this universe. Every since I was a kid I have always believed in
God. Believing and trusting in Him was how I was raised. I was also raised in the
Navajo Traditional ways, that is what I cherish and believe in also. For quite some time I
had just thrown away the Navajo Tradition. I soon came to believe that that was not a
good thing, because that is what my family has believed in. That is what they have went
to when they needed to be healed. So I believe that there is a higher power. One that
made the universe, one that allowed life to exist. The world couldnt have just magically
raised as a child and attending the Navajo Traditional ceremonies. In the Navajo religion
there are many different gods with different name, but they all work together. Then I
believe in the Christian God as some people would say. I believe what the Bible says
loving and merciful God that created the heaven and the earth, and has the power to
heal and forgive our sins. I dont have an idea of Gods physical appearance. All I know
is that us as humans, we cant see Gods face and if we do see it, we would surely die.
I believe that God is not small and powerless, He is an all knowing God that
loves each and every one of us. He knows everything about us and yet he loves so
much that he sent His son to die on the cross for our sins. So that one day we would be
postmodern because there are many ways of knowing Gods existence. The world
couldnt have just appeared, it has to have a creator. I believe that there is an absolute
truth, and the only way we can know the truth is by what is says in the Bible.
Is there such thing as right or wrong? Everyone has their own religion and their
own traditions. Its their choice if they think that's right or wrong to do. As for me I
believe in the right or wrong things to in the Navajo traditional ways. The certain things
that the Navajos can and cannot do. I have experienced the not to dos in the Navajo
tradition. When I was a baby still in my mothers womb, she had looked at the eclipse. In
the Navajo tradition you are not to look at the eclipse, because that is when the sun and
the moon are mating. Then later in after I was born, it started affecting my vision to
where I nearly got blind. So my family took me to a medicine man and he did a
sandpainting and some traditional singing for me. That is the reason why I dont think
there are moral facts that everyone should follow. People have different traditions. My
Grandfather was a Medicine Man and people would come to him to be healed. One day
he sat my mother down and told her that just because he was a Medicine Man doesnt
mean that she should follow in his footsteps. She should believe in what she believes in
My view of the universe in Theistic, because of the gods in the Navajo tradition. I
also believe in God, the one that created the universe. He is the inle that created
everything and everyone. He made the world so perfect so that we could live on it and
multiply. The oxygen in the air, the water, the trees, the vegetation, and everything else.
I believe that God created the universe in six days and the on the seventh day He
rested.
What is a human being? A human being is one of the most amazing creation of
God. He made every human different with different talents. Different talents so that we
would all work together for His kingdom. Human beings are not good at all, everyone
sins and falls short of Gods standards. We need Gods forgiveness and mercy, we are
There is a question that everyone has, If there is a God that loves us so much,
then why is there so much brokenness and suffering in the world? I think that it is like
that because of us not obeying God and because of us not trusting him. We have to
know and understand that God does love us and He has a plan for us. Yet we want
everything our way and we want them now, but I came to know that God does not work
that way. After my Aunt lost both of her limbs, after praying and paying for God to heal
her, after God seeing her go through such pain, He still had a different plan for her. As a
sinner, as a broken human being how can we be saved? We can be saved by asking
God to forgive us. Getting baptized and getting our sins washed away.
Another question that most people have is what happens to us after death? I
believe that there is two ways to go. One is a path that's most traveled and the other is a
path that's hardly traveled. The path that's hardly traveled is the good path. The path
that leads to God's perfect kingdom. The path that's most travelled is the one that goes
down to Hell. Hell is a place of suffering in the Lake of Fire. Where we will be separated
I believe that Jesus walked here on this Earth healing the sick and setting an
example for us. He was borned of a virgin and He is the Son of God. He died on the
cross for our sins and arose again on the third day.
I believe that Christianity isnt any different from any other religions. God sees
everybody the same. Also they all pray to God and thank Him for His creations. Some
christians are bad and some Christians are good. Some of them just want money, like
some of the pastors these day. Some are good Christians that help and pray for people.
Some just want to show off and accuse one another of wrong doings. I have this
impression because we just came out of a church like that and noticed all churches are
like that. It shouldnt be like that. They think that they are a better Christians than other
people.
