In my presentation Ill be taking about the environment,
technology and the effect that it has on human life
My presentation will last about - minutes and you can put me
questions at the end of it.
I have chosen to speak about this subject because I think that
the environment it is the only home of mankind, and Im sure
that youll agree when say that it is the most important aspect
in life. Wellness of the environment directly relates to the
wellness and health in human beings and every other species
and nowadays the environment is very contaminated by things
that people create, like fabrics, cars, television and others.

Lets start with the definition of environment
What is the environment?
Is part of the earth that helps all organisms bigger or smaller. As
I said before it is the surroundings or conditions in which a
person, animal or plant lives. The environment is very
important, by what they do or make for living things. This
makes life, by using or obtaining oxygen from plants, water
from rivers, and food from animals and plants.

What is the technology?
Lets move on to the definition of technology.
The application of scientific knowledge for practical
purposes, especially in industry;
The branch of knowledge dealing with engineering or
applied sciences

Next we will see the advantages that technology has:
Technology has become so helpful to our lives in so many
ways. Technology is convenient and efficient. It aids us to live
life more conveniently by allowing us to do more in less effort. .
Through technology we have access to more information, we
work more easily, and it makes the life more easily.
Technology advances show people a more efficient way to do
things, and these processes get results. For example, education
has been greatly advanced by the technological advances of
computers. Students are able to learn on a global scale without
ever leaving their classrooms. Agricultural processes that once
required dozens upon dozens of human workers can now be
automated, thanks to advances in technology.. Medical
discoveries occur at a much more rapid rate, thanks to
machines and computers that aid in the research process and
allow for more intense educational research into medical
matters. Many people have benefited from the invention of
technology and would most often find it complicated to do
without.

Negative aspects of technology
Social Isolation is on the increase, people are spending more
time playing video games, learning how to use new modern
technologies, using social networks and they neglect their real
life.
Job Loss: Modern technology has replaced many humans;
robots are doing the jobs which used to be done by humans.
Competency Increased dependency on modern tools like
calculators has reduced on our creativity.
World destruction weapons: Modern technology has been
the main aid in the increasing and endless wars.

The impact of technology on Environment
Nowadays, the environmental problems are extremely
important since they threaten to the future of human society
and the survival of mankind at large. At the same time, the
numerous environmental problems are basically determined by
human activities and the development of the technology.
Environmental degradation is a growing concern as continued
industrialization is being witnessed mostly in developed
countries and this goes to global warming. Three major causes
of the global warming are identified. Firstly, it is the industrial
development which pollutes atmosphere with offensive
emissions. Secondly, it is the traffic, namely vehicles using
conventional fuel, which increase enormously the level of CO2
in the atmosphere. And, finally, it is the deforestation of the
planet in the result of human activities, especially extensive
agriculture. It was found out that all these factors lead to the
greenhouse effect.
As the part of the global warming. The latter implies the
increase of the average temperature on the Earth which does
not necessarily mean the increasing temperature literally but it
rather leads to the catastrophic climate change and natural
disasters, such as melting of Arctic ice, hurricanes, etc.

Recent technology has made improvements to reduce damage
to the environment. For example, the use of hybrid technology
in vehicles like cars has greatly reduced pollution. Moreover,
there are technological improvements in the generation of
power that has minimal damage to the environment. For
example, solar power is used to heat water. There are modern
technologies that are aimed to minimize damage to the
ecology, but people must develop them.

In conclusion, Technology helps people in a great way, but
sometimes people use it as a weapon against nature. Many
pollutants and chemicals are released into the atmosphere
which harms a lot of the worlds natural resources. Technology
is significant in development and increased productivity to
satisfy human need, but uncontrolled technology impacts
environment negatively.
