Activities

A. Good morning everyone, we gathered all here for the reading month culminating
activating with the theme: Nasa Pagbasa ang Pag-asa, In reading Lies Hope.
B. May we request everyone to stand for the National Anthem, to be conducted by Ms.
Abegail Recillo, G9 Filipino teacher, immediately followed by singing the
CALABARZON March to be conducted by Mrs. Gina Villanueva, G10 Filipino Teacher
followed by Himno ng Batangan to be conducted by Ms. Paulina Filiomeno G7 Filipino
Teacher followed by singing the Sto. Tomas Hymn to be conducted by Mrs. Laila
Malolos, English coordinator, and the invocation to performed by Gloryeth Vines
Embuestro and Glechelle Jasol, Grade 9 students

C. Introduction:
Reading is a complex cognitive process of decoding symbols in order to construct or
derive meaning (reading comprehension).
It is a means of language acquisition, of communication, and of sharing information and
ideas.
To our principal, dear students, fellow teachers, and guests, good morning.
Today, marks another remarkable momentous event for us to be blessed let us witness
the Verse Recital to be presented by select Grade 8 students

D. Without learning how to read she wouldnt be here and standing before us, indeed
she proves that a good reader is a good leader, ladies and gentlemen please welcome
our supportive and lovable principal, Mrs. Loida M. Guevarra, let us give her a big
hand.

E. and to give us a message, the compassionate coordinator of Filipino Department,


no other than Mrs. Eslawa Lagmay

F. lets start with Teatrong Pagbasa to be performed by select grade 10 students,


under the supervision of Mrs. Gina Villanueva, Grade 10 Filipino teacher, everyone
lets give them a round of applause.

G. Before proceeding to another one lets be enthralled with special number, please
welcome, the select grade 9 students

H. and now, another art of language, please welcome the select Grade 9 students
under the supervision of Mrs. Juanita Lappay in their one-act play, New Yorker from
Tondo

I. Who is Elpidio Quirino? To know more about him heres Mary Gwyneth Tolentino,
Grade Seven student to read the Biography: The Life and Works of Elpidio Quirino

J. Have you seen a newlywed couple? As part of Filipino culture the newlywed dances
for their long engagement and happiness, and to show us this custom, ladies and
gentlemen, Nica Dacanay of Grade 9 orchid with her partner Setmetusael Mancenon,
Grade 8 Ruby

K. Lets proceed to the awarding of certificates

L. to formally close our program, may we call in, Mrs. Mercedes Velasco, Head T

We would like to thank the people behind this successful program Mrs.
Loida M. Guevarra our principal, SASRNHS teaching force and staff, the technical
team headed by Mr. Nazareno Villanueva and the participants of this program. .
