WALL ANCHOR MADE OF PIERS: strength <300 KN

"
Anchor tie rods in any kind of soils and of any texture made of belts, cables, w
ires and stabilized harmonic steel, and also of preinjected type, provided with
anti-corrosion protective cover, for depths up to 40 m, including drilling and s
upply of fastening devices, partition boards and adequate spacers and the necess
ary accesories. Strength of anchor tie rods < 300 kn, for each linear meter.
"
Anchor wire strands: characteristic ultimate tensile strength fptk ? 1860 N/mm2;
yield point elongation 0.1% fp1k ? 1670 N/mm2; number of wire strands 6; inject
ion line: minimum diameter = 16 mm; burst pressure: > 1 MPa for low pressure inj
ection, > 10 MPa for high pressure injection; mixed concrete for injection: tot
al clorine content below 0.05% of the concrete weight and the total sulphur cont
ent of 0.15% of the inferior cement weight to avoid the corrosion risk for stres
sed materials. Polyethylene or polypropylene for the smooth and corrugated cover
. The drilling must use rotary or rotary-percussive action with a nominal drllin
g diameter from 121 to 170 mm.
"The bulb of the anchor bolts shall be obtained by repeated and selective inject
ions at high pressure through adequate sleeve valves on the primary injection tu
bes at intervals of 50 cm. The injection stages include:
- injection of the coating between the hole wall and the cover along the entire
length of the rod through the valve at the bottom of the primary injection tube.
- injection in the inner part of the anchored corrugated segment of the cover th
rough the sleeve valve mounted on the primary injection tube.
- packer injection through a valve mounted on the primary injection tube that sh
all be done at low pressure (up to 0.5 MPa).
- the injection under pressure of the anchored probe shall be done from valve to
valve (hole diameter: from 121 to 170 mm, maximum mixture volume 45 liters/valv
e, maximum pressure at which the valve is opened < 6 MPa); flushing the interior
of the tube with water; the injection pressure must be repeated for the valves
ch not having reached the limits referred above. The residual pressure on inject
ing the hole top must not exceed 0.8 MPa.
- You may keep repeating the injection, if the volume limits referred above have
not yet been exceeded, and following the injections mentioned in the previous s
tages; the injection aimed to fill the free line can be performed only after ten
sioning the tie rod (inside the cover) using the second injection tube.
"
"Before commencing the works, the Contractor shall elaborate the rod execution m
ethodology by conducting an adequate number of preliminary tests on the tie rods
. The number and the testing method must meet the project requirements.
The rods can be tensioned when the mixture injection (both inside and also outsi
de the protection coverings) has reached the mimimun characteristic cubic resist
ance of 25 MPa; each type of rod must be tested before acting at the excavation
base; the tensioning must be done at a depth of maximum 50 cm from the rod posit
ion.
