SELECTION PROCEDURE
10. Short listed candidates will be called for Campus Interview at their own expense at centres
as notified by IHQ-MoD (Navy)/Command Headquarters. The screening will be conducted by
a Naval Selection Team, and candidates selected during campus interview will be called for
SSB interview at Bangalore/ Bhopal/Coimbatore between Dec 10 to Apr 11.
(a) Conduct of SSB. Stage I test consisting of Officer Intelligence Rating Test(OIRT), Picture
Perception and Discussion test(PPDT) will be conducted on the first day. Candidate who fails to
qualify in Stage I will be routed back home on the same day. Stage II tests will comprise of
Psychological testing, Group Task, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. No compensation
will be paid in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests. The duration of SSB will be 05 days

DUTIES OF LOGISTICS OFFICER
15. Logistics Officer deals with the Logistics aspects of Men & Material. The Logistics
Officer plays a vital role in the human aspect of the ships organisation. A modern warship
irrespective of its role needs a continuous supply of fresh provisions, fuel and spares for
the vast array of sophisticated equipment and machinery. You as a Logistics Officer will be
responsible for smooth supply of stores. In no other career does an officer get exposed to
such a wide spectrum of opportunities to keep abreast of modern and latest development in
the field of management & finance.
THE NAVY OFFERS YOU
16. Promotions & Pay Scale: Promotion from Sub-Lieutenant to Commander is on time scale
basis subject to fulfilllment of requisite service conditions. The Pay Scale and promotion criteria
are as follows:-

21. Adventure & Sports. The Navy provides facilities to pursue any sport of your liking. In
addition, one can learn and participate in adventure sports, such as river rafting,
mountaineering, hot air ballooning, hand gliding, wind surfing etc.
22 Physical Fitness: - In Naval Academy curcuculam, a lot of emphasis is laid on physical
fitness. You are therefore, advised to build up yourself by physical training, sports,running,
swimming,etc. so that you meet the training goals successfully.
23. Instructions for filling up of Application Format. Following guidelines are important for
filling up of application format for UES 2011 Course:-
(i) In Para 1 of Application format: Strike out Technical or Executive whichever not
applicable. Write Engineering or Electrical or Naval Architecture Cadre or General
Service (X) or Logistic Cadre which is applicable.
(ii) In Para 9:- Write states from which originally you belong.
(iii) In Para 10:-Darken the appropriate box.
(iv) In Para 11:- Darken the appropriate box.
(v) In Para 13:- Write stream of BE/B Tech also i.e. Mechanical or Electrical or so on
whichever is applicable.
(vi) In Para 14:- If you are eligible for more than one Branch/Cadre - Strike out Technical or
Executive whichever is not applicable. Mention your 1st and 2nd Choice of Technical
Branch (Engineering Branch & NA Cadre) and Executive (General Service-X &
Logistic Cadre) Branch.
