Thehoistcylindersraisethetruckbodyintwostages.Thepumpoil
flowsintoopening(6)totheheadendsofthehoistcylinders.Theoil
flowsthroughatubeinrodassembly(1)andintochamber(5)inthe
headendofcylinder(3).Thepressureofthepumpoilinchamber(5)
movescylinder(3).
Theoilinchamber(8)mustnowflowthroughgrooves(4)intheend
ofcylinder(2)andintochamber(5).
Whenhead(11)ontheendofcylinder(3)reachesalipontheendof
cylinder(2),thecylinderisalsopushedupbytheoilinchamber(5).
Theoilinchamber(9)nowflowsthroughorifices(10),throughthe
tubeinrodassembly(1),andthroughopening(7)tothehoistcontrol
valve.
Cylinder(2)ispusheduntilinternalhead(12)ontheendofcylinder
(2)contactspiston(13),whichisboltedtothetopofrodassembly
(1).Whencylinder(3)isagainsttheendofcylinder(2)andcylinder
(2)isagainsttheendofrodassembly(1),thehoistcylinderisfully
extended.

positioninordertolowerthetruckbodytothetruckframe.
Whenthehoistcylindersarefullyextendedandthehoistcontrolis
movedtotheLOWERposition,pumpoilretractsonlycylinder(2).
 Whencylinder(2)isfullyretracted,gravitymovescylinder(3)and
thetruckbodylowersontothetruckframe.
Thetruckbodyisloweredwhenthepumpoilflowsthroughopening
(7),intorodassembly(1),throughorifices(10),andintochamber(9)
betweentherodassemblyandcylinder(2).Theoilpushescylinder
(2)andcylinder(3)downwardaschamber(9)isfilledwithpumpoil.
Whenthetruckbodygetstoaspecifiedposition,flowthatisleaving
opening(6)willberestricted.Thistrapsoilinchamber(5).The
weightofthetruckbodycontinuestomovecylinder(3)slowly.The
weightofthetruckbodymovescylinder(3)downwarduntilthe
cylinderisfullyretracted.Theoilinchamber(5)ispushedthrough
thetubeinrodassembly(1)andthroughopening(6)tothehoist
controlvalve.Thehoistcontrolvalveroutestheoiltothehydraulic
tank
