1. A) Professional Goals...

1. Graduate from University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science in

Kinesiology by April, 2017.
2. Gain acceptance into a Masters of Physical Therapy program (with
preference to Canadian schools due to proximity and ease of transferability)
for September, 2017. First choice program: University of Alberta Physical
Therapy.
3. In the event of non-acceptance for 2017, garner a part-time or full-time
position as a Kinesiologist in Victoria, BC, while I spend time improving the
status of my application. This includes additional work and volunteer
experience, as well as the improvement of my GPA status through additional
elective course enrollment at the University of Victoria.
4. Graduate with a Masters of Physical Therapy with certification to practice in
British Columbia.
5. Achieve full-time employment as a physical therapist in Victoria BC. I have
no interest in opening my own practice, but rather assimilating with a pre-
established practice in the city.
a. Client population of interest: geriatric patients, with a special interest
in post-surgical individuals following osteological intervention. Post-
operative rehabilitation is of interest to me, due to the traumatic nature
of the intervention, and my current knowledge base in the recovery
progression in aging clientele.
b. Current first choice facility of interest: Rebalance MD, due to my
experience working in this clinic, admiration for the multidisciplinary
approach to rehabilitation, and the personal connections I have made
during my experience.
6. Although I have no cemented expectation of salary currently, I desire enough
to finance a small apartment near downtown Victoria, purchase, maintain and
insure an inexpensive commuter vehicle, and afford fitness event tickets and
accommodations throughout the year (e.g. Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, etc).
Additionally, I would like a sufficient income to save a portion of my salary
for travel when desired, and future investments (e.g. a house). Current
suggested salary: $75,000 annually.

B) Personal Goals.

1. I fully intend to be employed and live full time in Victoria, BC.

2. I wish to maintain an physically active lifestyle in my current sporting
modality (Crossfit and Marathon running), independent of my work schedule,
with preference to morning availability for this purpose (5:30AM 8AM)
3. I desire the ability to take short periods time off (e.g. an occasional weekend)
intermittently throughout the year to enjoy sporting/local travel activities (e.g.
mountaineering, camping, races, local fitness competitions, etc)
4. I desire a job in which I am not sedentary for long periods of time, and am
active throughout my work day. I find sitting for long periods of time to be
uncomfortable and physically taxing, and would like a job and lifestyle
environment to accommodate this.
5. I would like to be employed close enough to home so that I do not need to
commute to and from the workplace. I have contended with a one hour
commute to and from school for the entirety for my post-secondary education,
and wish to alleviate that portion of my day. I am not overly passionate about
travel for work, and am perfectly content being employed in a single location.
