represented by a block with its input and output. However in this activity, we are not just dealing with simple
systems but rather we deal with complicated systems represented by interconnection of many subsystem. The
very goal of this activity is that we wanted to represent multiple subsystems as a single transfer function since
the response of a single transfer function can be computed. We can then apply several functionalities of
LabVIEW (CD Feedback, CD Series, CD Parallel) to obtain transient response information about the entire
system. Let me give you a brief background of some of the Model Interconnection VIs that Ive used.

diagram configurations containing signals, systems, summing junctions, and pickoff points. These
configurations were the cascade/series, parallel, and feedback forms. During the process of block diagram
reduction, we attempted to produce these easily recognized forms and then reduced the block diagram to a
On the middle of performing the activity, I was confused to whether use CD Parallel because the
instruction clearly states the use of CD Feedback and CD Series only. Probably the instruction was to reduce
first the block diagrams using the analytical techniques so that it would appear a little less to the point that we
are only going to use CD Feedback and CD Series. Nonetheless, it would be burdensome on our part to do
such process so instead of taking the rough road we used CD Parallel to obtain a sound or error-free result.
