Description of how to implement in the class: For this lesson, I will show stances
from the Republican, Democrat, Libertarian Party. I will show where each party stands
on issues such as immigration, healthcare, and education. I will then have my
students form their own form their own opinions about these issues. Then I will
implement the Word template project.
The students will be using Word templates to create their own political party. Within
the Word template the students should use clip art to find an animal or symbol that
represents their party. Then the students will use Word Art to create a party name.
Last the students will create a chart showing their political platform. They use the
chart to describe where their party stands on issues such as healthcare, education,
climate change, immigration and environment.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): This lesson is located on 2 and 3 of
the LoTi. I believe it is level two because the students are using technology to apply
and create a product. They are asked to think on high levels. It is also LoTi because
the students are creating a product that is meaningful and important to them.
Students will also collaborate and share their project within the classroom.
Description of the sample spreadsheet and graph/chart provided *:
In this example, you will see I created my own political party to show my students.
They are to follow this example by having a picture or symbol of their party, party
name, explanations, and a chart showing their stances of important issues.
