General applications
descote has developped a complete range
of actuated valves based on the bellows
sealed globe valves Model 2100B and
2500. These valves are normally equipped
with Bimatic linear actuators. Application
for these valves are throroughly described
in the detailed product leaflets.
Model 2100BAT is designed for dangerous,
corrosive, inflammable, pyrophoric, media
such as chlorine,fluorine, hydrogen
chloride, hydrogen fluoride, phosgene,
chlorosilanes, nitrogen trifluoride (NF3) etc.
and all category M fluides as per ASME
B31.3.

for size 1" to 6" (DN25 to DN150)

Model 2500AT is particularly

recommended for applications where the
bellows has to be flushed by the flow, in
case of risk of polymerization,
crystallization

They are commonly used on the following
processes and production units: Chlor-
alkali, PCA (polycarbonate), TDI, MDI, and
HDI (Isocyanates), bleaching, AHF
Alkylation (P.P. and UOP, alkylation and
LAB processes), ECH (Epichlorhydrin),
VCM, pesticides, insecticides, CFCs, HFA,
HFC, PTFE, etc. And on many other
processes using dry chlorine (Cl2),
phosgene (COCl2), dry hydrogen chloride
(A. HCl), anhydrous fluorhydric acid (A. HF),

Design criteria

Conversion of a manual valve into an actuated valve

This adaptation from manual to on-off valve is easily performed with standard mounting kits.
Manual on-off valves can be actuated on site, in a workshop or in situ, using mounting kits or direct ISO flange assembly.

Manual valve Model 2500 or 2100B and any other bellows sealed globe valves from the standard descote range can be actuated.

Actuator selection
Our standard actuated valve range is supplied with BIMATIC linear pneumatic actuator.

BIMATIC actuators have been specially designed as a solution to heavy duty applications requirements :

Bellows selection
Actuated on-off valves are equipped, as a minimum requirement, with heavy duty bellows.
Heavy duty bellows are designed for a minimum of 20,000 cycles, from fully opened to fully closed, 100% stroke, at the class rating pressure.
Each bellows is 100% sensitive helium tested before assemble according to ASME V article 10 with leak rate 10-8 Atm.cm 3. s-1

Seat tightness
3 levels of seat tightness are available.
Level 1: Class IV ASME/ANSI B16.104/FCI 70.2 is a minimum requirement
Level 2: Class VI ASME/ANSI B16.104/FCI 70.2
Level 3: 0 bubble, nitrogen tested at maximum differential pressure
Considering the actual working conditions and the required tightness level, we can supply:
Hard seat design, metal to metal, including stellite
Soft seat design, in a wide range of polymer or elastomer materials on metallic seat. Selection is made according to the fluid characteristics.
Dual design, combining the advantages of both hard and soft seats.
Drilled disc (3 mm hole) upon request.
Our designs include integral or replaceable screwed in seats.

Inspection, Quality Control and Testing Certificate and Traceability

Model 2100BAT & 2500AT valve range goes through the same inspection, Both Model 2100BAT & 2500AT come with a 3.1 certificate for
quality control and testing as Model 2100B valve range. Please refer to Model traceability of materials, tests, examination and controls.
