Job Title: Java/JEE Developer (Server Side)

Reporting to: Java Manager

Role Overview
We are seeking a confident Java/JEE Developer and hands on Team Leader for a top 3 Tier 1
Worldwide Bank. The ideal candidate should have good Java/JEE skills, knowledge of the full
development lifecycle, good team work skills and be open to learn new technologies.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The Java Developer (Server Side) will be primarily responsible for:

1. Requirements analysis and technical design.

2. Hands on implementation of scalable robust systems (including testing).

3. Tasks Estimations.

4. Development.

5. Design Solutions and Integrations.

Required skills
1. Java.

2. JEE

a. Web/App servers (Apache and Tomcat preferred).

b. Servlets.

c. Web Services.

d. REST Services.

3. Unit Testing (Junit and related).

4. JSP and JSTL.

5. SQL.

6. Code version control systems.

7. Excellent programming ability and knowledge of Java are the most critical skills.

8. An emphasis on server side development.

9. Agile methodologies

Good to have
The successful Java Server Side Programmer will be able to demonstrate evidence of the
following:

1. Experience programming in a real-time asynchronous systems

2. Strong Server Side Java programming experience

3. Knowledge or RESTful service implementation (Jersey/Grizzly)

4. Knowledge of RDBMS

5. Knowledge of data modelling skills

6. OO analysis and design

7. JQuery.

8. HTML and JavaScript.

9. Web Content Management systems knowledge.

Other requirements
The successful Java/JEE Developer will be able to demonstrate evidence of the following:

1. +3 years of professional software development experience or similar role.

2. Good knowledge of full development lifecycle.

3. Good communication skills in English.

4. Experience in testing is a plus

5. Experience in Finance is a plus

6. Experience in Slang is a plus
