MOAC setup in Oracle R12 mainly involves following steps;

Step 1) Defining Security Profile or Global Security Profile


Step 2) Assigning Security Profile to a responsibility (thru profile option
MO: Security Profile)
Step 3) Setting up Profile option MO: Default Operating Unit (for
responsibility)

Step 1) Defining Security Profile or Global Security Profile

1.1) Go to the responsibility Global HRMS Manager, Click Security > Global
Profile.
1.2) In Organization Security tab, select Security Type as Secure organization
by organization Hierarchy and/or organization list

In classification, select Operating Unit and select <Operating Unit name> in


field Organization name. You can add as many operating units as you wish to give
access to this particular security profile.

1.3) Save the changes


Note: From Global Security Profile window you can add operating unit across the
business groups. You can also define security profile from Security Profile window,
but you will only be able to add operating units within same Business Group.

Step 2) Assigning Security Profile to a responsibility

2.1) Go to the responsibility System Administrator, Click Profile > System.

2.2) Select Profile name MO: Security Profile and responsibility as you want to
assign the profile to.

Click Find button


2.3) Assign the security profile defined in step (1) to the responsibility.

2.4) Save the changes


2.5) Run the concurrent program Security List Maintenance from responsibility
Global HRMS Manager
Step 3) Setting up Profile option MO: Default Operating Unit (for
responsibility)

3.1) Go to the responsibility System Administrator, Click Profile > System.

3.2) Select Profile name MO: Default Operating Unit and responsibility as you
want to assign the profile to.

Click Find button


3.3) Assign default operating unit and save your changes
