PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY:

I have a passion for providing therapeutic support and empathic understanding for people of all
ages and backgrounds. I use a variety of clinical interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy. I use an ecological perspective, while focusing on strengths, when working with
individuals to help them fulfill their potential.

July 2013 December 2013 Youth Mentor: MSU Adolescent Diversion Program

-Mentor for a youth within the criminal justice system for 21 weeks, meeting 6 hours per week.
-Developed SMART goals
-Used the Ecological approach, intervening at the individual, family, and school levels.

COMMUNITY SERVICE & VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES:

December 2016 Student Volunteer: Grand Valley State University Louisiana Flood Relief

-Provided manual labor for 3 different homes damaged by the August 2016 Flood affecting the
greater Baton Rouge area.
-Vacuumed mold spores, sanitation efforts, drywall installation, and general assistance in cleaning
damaged property.

February 2015-June 2015 Youth Mentor: St. Vincents Catholic Charities, Lansing, MI

-Weekly meetings with a teenage youth in a residential foster care group home.
