AIMOS Setup & NE Integration Summary

Outlines:

1. Pre-Requisites
2. Process
3. Connectivity Failure Troubleshooting
4. Readiness Checklist
1. Pre-Requisites
a. The Operator to prepare a Server to host the AIMOS software and PCs for the AIMOS clients
with the following specifications.

b. The availability of the AIMOS Software and license that supports the needed numbers of NE
and AIMOS clients to be connected by the operator.
c. The Operator to provide the IP address of the AIMOS server.
d. Make sure of the availability of the Modem card in the Node A modules that need to be
connected to AIMOS.
e. Provide reachability/routing between Clients & Server and Server & Node A.
f. Prepare security access required between Clients & Server and Server & Node A as per the
table below ;
g. Node A Connectivity requirements ;
i. For packet Switch Connectivity:
Provide a SIM card preconfigured to the Operators private APN for each NE.

Provide the Static IP addresses configured to the Access Point that maps to
the SIM's Data Number as shown in the example below.

# SIM Serial Dial IP Address

1 #1230018014258160123 12345678 XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

ii. For Circuit Switch Connectivity; a landline should be available at each Node A
location.
2. Process:
Action Item Location Duration
1 Install the AIMOS server Software and License Activation Operator Data Center 1 Day
2 Node A Connectivity Settings & Modem Configuration Remote Location 1 Day X # of Node A
3 Configure the AIMOS server with the monitored Node A information
Test connectivity and Reachability between the Server and the monitored Operator Data Center 2 Days
4
Node A
5 Install the Client software to the required terminals
Assign different privileges to the different Clients as per the Operator
6
request
Operator Data Center 2 Days
7 Test Connectivity between Clients and Server
(Optional) Provide support to the operator management team to integrate
8
AIMOS into the operators OSS

3. Troubleshooting in case of Connectivity Failure between the AIMOS server and the Node A:
1. Test the connectivity at the Node A side by checking the modem.
In case of modem failure, CommScope should replace the modem.

2. Test the connectivity at the AIMOS server side by tracing if the packets are lost.
In case of packets loss, CommScope will provide the trace route to the operator.

The Operator should check the path between the Server and the Node A to ensure that
all the needed ports are open.
