also need some of these indications to be given in Romanian;
-some students might feel nervous and reluctant to participate in the activity, so they may need
more encouragement.
Warm Up
Aim:
-to create a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere
Procedure: -T greets the Ss by saying Hello!and encourages the pupils to greet her back.
T plays the song Hello! The pupils sing, shake hands, dance and mime. T checks homework.

Activity 1: Lead-in
Aim:
- to recycle and practice the language taught previously (parts of the body,
action verbs)
Procedure: All right, everyone! We are not here to relaxbut having fun! So we need more
action now: Stand up!
Sit Down!
Clap your hands!
Smile! Hop! Jump! Spin!
Walk! Run! Swim! Fly!
Now lets play Simon says! Simon says touch your(e.g. head)
T does a few more touch your arm, tummy, legs. T. plays the song Head, shoulders, knees and
toes. The pupils sing and mime.
T announces the title and the objectives of the lesson

Activity 3: Practice
Aim:
- to enable the pupils to use expression such a It can/ It cant
- to develop and practice the pupils listening, speaking, writing skills
Procedure: T shows to the pupils some verbs activity flashcards from the previous lesson. T
points to the flashcards and elicit the word. The pupils repeat after the teacher. T explains to the
pupils that animals can do a lot of things. T presents to the pupils a chart.
Now let see what these animals can do. T points the picture of the butterfly.
T asks the pupils. What a butterfly can do?Run?
Pupils answer: No, it cant.
T : Can it fly?
P: Yes, it can. T repeat actions with the rest of the animals.
T gives to the pupils worksheets. The pupils must read and circle yes or no ( what animals can
do/cant do). The pupils read the sentences. T helps the pupils where necessary. (appendix 1)

Activity 4: Production
Aim:
- to practice speaking skills
- to build confidence, to work in groups
Procedure: T divides the class into groups. Each group will receive a large sheet of paper (larger
than A3), and an envelope with some labels (action verbs) and pictures (animals)
T explains the task. The pupils have to stick the pictures/ activities on the paper. After that, they
stick the labels with the right action verb to the right animal.
