d. Second derivatives
e. Applications of derivatives
f. Computation of derivatives
3. Integrals
a. Riemann sums
b. Interpretations and properties of definite integrals
c. Applications of integrals
d. Fundamental Theorem of Calculus
e. Techniques of anti-differentiation
f. Numerical approximations to definite integrals

Classroom Rules:
Have your work and supplies with you every day book, paper, pencil, and graphing calculator.
It is mandatory to ask questions if you are confused.
Refer to the handbook for all school rules concerning tardiness, absences, suspensions, dress code, etc.
Required for course:
Textbook: Rogawskis Calculus for AP, 2nd Edition by Jon Rogawski & Ray Cannon
(Replacement cost is $110.00)
Graphing calculator:
The TI-Nspire CAS graphing calculators are allowed on the AP Exam and should enhance the students
performance on the exam. These calculators are available for calculus students to check out.
(Replacement cost for the TI-Nspire CAS calculator is $150).
Grading Policy:
Nine-week grade averages will be calculated using the following weights:
Homework 5%
Daily Grades 15%
Quizzes 20%
Test 30%
Projects/Labs/Performance Tasks 30%

Assignments turned in after the due-date are subject to point deductions at the discretion of the teacher.
Exceptions will be given to students with documented accommodations or those with prior teacher approval.
Students MUST take a student learning objective Mid-term assessment [SLO] and its grade MUST be counted as
20% of their final semester one average. This is a state law. The SLO Mid-term will function as the Final Exam
and may NOT be exempted.
Only students who complete an Advanced Placement (AP) course will receive ten (10) bonus points added to their
second semester final average.

The final semester one grade will be calculated as follows:

40% of the first nine weeks average + 40% of the second nine weeks average + 20% of the final exam
