FACILITIES WEDDING USE AGREEMENT

The Seventh-day Adventist Church at Adventist Hospital Palawan welcomes members and
guests who wish to use the facilities for weddings and other church related activities (i.e. piano
recital, baptism, child dedication, funeral service). The church building is a place where we
worship God and work toward the coming of His kingdom here on earth. Therefore, we ask that
all who use the building treat it with reverence and respect.

General Information

SDA Church at AHP is located at the Hospital Compound, San Pedro, Puerto Princesa City,
Palawan.
The sanctuary has a seating capacity of 250 on the main floor and 50 in the balcony, and is
equipped with a piano, an organ and sound systems. The building is fully air-conditioned.
The sound system in the sanctuary is equipped with four (4) microphones, and instrument
amplification capabilities. Under no circumstances should an unauthorized person touch or
operate the sanctuary sound controls.
All weddings performed at AHP SDA Church must be approved by the Church Board before
the final contract is signed.
It is recommended that, if a guest pastor performs the wedding, this guest pastor must place a
courtesy call to the pastor of the church.
It is recommended that the bride and groom attend premarital counseling as directed by the
officiating pastor.
AHP SDA Church does not provide organists, pianists, or soloists for events. The Pastoral
Staff can provide a list of possible musicians. Because a wedding is a sacred service, it is
expected that all music will be in keeping with the standards of Christian worship. All
practice times for musical participants must be cleared with the Pastoral Assistant one (1)
week before the desired date and time.
A Wednesday, Friday and Saturday wedding will not be accepted. Weddings on Sunday,
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday may be at any time.

Reservation Information

The church office is open 9:00AM- 1:00PM for Monday-Thursday, and 9:00AM- 12:00NN
for Friday. Requests for use of the facility must be placed with the Pastoral Assistant in the
church office.
Reservation must be placed in not less than three (3) months in advance.
The church reserves the right to limit the use of the church facility at any time to any group
or individual. The church also reserves the right to schedule multiple events at the same time
if the events do not appear to conflict with each other.
The church is not responsible for the personal property of participants or injuries that may
occur during the use of the facility.
Confirmed reservations will require a Php 2,000 security deposit and 50% of rental fee. All
outstanding balances will be due two (2) weeks prior to the wedding date.

General Guidelines for Building Use

Any group/bridal party using the facilities is responsible for the conduct of all those in
attendance. This includes responsibility for damage or loss of any church property and any
personal property belonging to the group or guests.
Moving the pews is not permitted. Please use it as it is. Under no circumstances is the grand
piano to be moved.
Decorations should not be tacked, nailed, glued, or taped to any surfaces in the sanctuary and
other areas including furniture. All candles must either be enclosed in glass or placed on a
carpet protector to protect the carpet from dripping wax. The renter will be responsible for
any damages incurred. All decorations must be removed from the sanctuary immediately
following the wedding ceremony.
Food and beverages are not allowed in the sanctuary.
No alcoholic beverages, smoking or dancing are allowed either in the building or on the
grounds. Any violation will result in forfeiture of the security deposit.
No grape juice or red punch may be used anywhere in the building.
Scheduling a wedding in the church includes the use of the sanctuary, church garage and
restrooms. Use of other space such as the guest house must be approved in advance by the
Pastoral staff and custodial fees may apply.
Nothing may be thrown inside or outside the church, including but not limited to bird seed,
rice, confetti, and flower petals. The only exception to this is the use of bubbles outside the
church.

Seasonal decorations such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter may not be changed. A
wedding banner is available for the front of the sanctuary. Sanctuary side banners may not be
changed without the consent of the Administrative Assistant and a fee may be charged.
Church equipment must be retained inside the building. Any damage to property or
equipment that requires repair, if determined that it is the fault of the renters or their guests,
will be subtracted from the damage/security deposit, with the remainder refunded within 30
days of the wedding. If the cost of repairs exceeds the damage, deposit, the renters will be
notified and billed for the difference. Any breach of contract or damage reductions will be
approved by the Church Board.

Wedding Use Fees

Rental Fee (first 4 hours): Members: Php 6,000


Non-members: Php10,000
Succeeding hours: Ceremony Php 500
Rehearsal: Php 200

Members rates are limited of AHP SDA Church regular members and those who are affiliated.
Affiliated includes the immediate family of members (children, grandchildren or parents). If
the church is reserved as a back-up location for inclement weather and facilities are not used, the
custodian, sound technician (if applicable) must still be paid of 50% of their rates.

FACILITIES WEDDING USE AGREEMENT (Tenants Copy)

Church harmless from any liability for damages to persons or property in, on, or about the
premises from any cause whatsoever including, without limitation, all damages, costs,
expenses, and fees including reasonable attorneys fees.

Terms and Conditions:

1. All general information and guidelines for building use as outlined in this document.
2. Individuals renting Church facilities must carry their own liability insurance for the event. By
signing this Facilities Use Agreement, tenant agrees to hold the Church harmless for any
liability claim arising from your use of the said facilities.
3. The Church cannot be responsible for the cancellation or curtailing of an event due to
conditions beyond its control.
