Sika GroutPlug -A
Injection Port for Low Pressure Injection System
Product
Description Sika GroutPlug -A is a specially designed resin injection tool for cracks
in concrete as a part of Low Pressure Injection System (LPIS*). LPIS
automatically gives consistent low pressure injection. Sika GroutPlug-
A, as an injection port, enables precise and deep penetration into small
cracks. It is also capable of controlling the pressure and injecting rates.
*LPIS is based on Boyles Law: under conditions of constant temperature

Product Data
Packaging Sika GroutPlug -A : 100 set/ case
plug applicator 11.4g + pressure tank 5.0g= Sika GroutPlug-A 16.4g
in total
must be dry, clean, sound and free of any other foreign matter.
Heat a plug applicator with a burner and reshape it to fit the repairing
area.
Apply temporal sealant, Sika GroutPack -1, and press Sika GroutPlug
repairing resin.
Immediately after the resin from SK pump enters the pressure tank,
entrapped air in pressure tank gets compressed and pushes back the
resin, creating a low pressure/speed injection.
Installation of Plug A Apply temporal sealant, Sika GroutPack -1, along with the crack.
Force Sika GroutPlug -A down to the sealant immediately.
Injection of Epoxy Resin After the curing of the temporal sealant, start inserting epoxy resin at
low viscosity from Sika SK Pump.
Keep the graduation on the pressure tank below 1.5 during injection.
Limitations If In case the resin leaks from unexpected area during injection, push
check valve with a wire to once stop injection and lower pressure in the
tank. After wiping out the ejected resin, seal with tachyon pack.
3. Installation of Plug - Apply temporal sealant, Sika GroutPack -1, along with
A the crack. Appropriate thickness of temporal sealant is
2-5 mm with 30mim width.
- Force down an injection port, Sika GroutPlug -A to the
temporal sealant immediately.
- Installation of GroutPlug -A should be approx. every 50mm Sika GroutPack -1:
apart. The compatibility
- The temporal sealant must firmly seal Sika GroutPlug - A (adhesion/peel) must be
to the contact surface. tested before use
5. Removal of temporal - After the injected resin completely cures, remove Sika
sealant and plug GroutPlug -A first.
- Remove the temporal Sealant.
-To check if resin is cured, sample small amount of injected
resin from the crack.
- Be careful not to scratch the concrete surface.
Remove GroutPlug-A
before the sealant:
