GENERAL DESCRIPTION

BONDERITE C-IC ALUETCH ACID CLEANER is a specially formulated acid cleaner It

for aluminium in soak application.
simultaneously cleans and lightly etches aluminium.
BONDERITE C-IC ALUETCH ACID CLEANER is primarily formulated for those processors
and fabricators who do not require a deep etch for their finishing process. This makes
BONDERITE C-IC ALUETCH ACID CLEANER ideal to use as paint pre-treatment step before
chromate conversion coating.
BONDERITE C-IC ALUETCH ACID CLEANER contains strong surfactants so there is no need
for separate degreasing. The mixed acid system of BONDERITE C-IC ALUETCH ACID
CLEANER gives a smut free surface on commercial grades of aluminium.

USE DIRECTIONS
Concentration : 4 to 8 v/v

Temperature : Ambient

Time : Up to 10 minutes

The concentration and contact time should be adjusted to obtain desired results. Typically 7%
v/v concentration and 5 minutes contact time can be used as a guideline.

TANK CONSTRUCTION

BONDERITE C-IC ALUETCH ACID CLEANER contains an inhibitor which enables it to be

used in stainless steel tanks. It can be used in mild steel tanks, however, for extended period of
use either stainless steel tanks or mild steel tanks with acid resistant materials such as PVC or
fibreglass are recommended.
HANDLING CARE

BONDERITE C-IC ALUETCH ACID CLEANER is highly corrosive. Avoid contact with skin
and eyes. Avoid breathing its vapour.
If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomitting. Give a glass of water. If skin contact occurs, remove
contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly. if contact with eyes occurs, flush water for 15
minutes can call a doctor.

CONTROL/DISPENSING EQUIPMENT

1. Take 10 ml sample of BONDERITE C-IC ALUETCH ACID CLEANER bath.

2. Add 50 ml of water.

3. Add 2- 3 drops of Bromophenol Blue Indicator.

4. Titrate with 1.0N Sodium Hydroxide until yellow colour changes to blue.
