The Client

Our client, Atos Consulting Switzerland, is part of the Atos Group, a leader in digital services with almost 100,000
employees in 72 countries. Serving a global client base, the Group provides Business & Platform Solutions, Infrastructure
& Data Management, Cloud operations, Big Data & Cyber-security solutions, as well as transactional services through
Worldline, the European leader in the payments and transactional services industry.

Project Goal

The collaboration started in 2015, when the client needed to reduce the costs for some of their big customers and to
integrate resources from nearshore locations on different projects. Given the higher operational costs in Switzerland, the
lack of people with required experience and set of skills, and the fast ramp up required (which was impossible to achieve
with their resources in such short period of time) they decided to fully or partially outsource in order to deliver the projects
in time.

 Challenges
The client had many projects that needed to be delivered in time and on budget without exception and PureQuad, a young
company at the time, was faced with the challenge of supplying a high number of trained experts for QA (test managers, test
analysts and test automation experts), Java, .NET and Share Point (project managers/scrum masters, technical leads,
architects and developers) in a short period of time.
The end clients urgently needed to shorten the time-to-market of their core products to stay competitive and that resulted in
both extremely aggressive deadlines as well as extremely fast ramp ups required for the PureQuad team joining the projects
The client needed a partner able to offer not only software development, testing and maintenance services, but also the
capability to support their company in customer-facing activities on behalf of the company brand (such as customer project
and test management, deployment, the end customer acceptance testing support)
Developing new versions of the clients existing product based on the latest technologies

The Approach
PureQuad provided a diverse and well trained team of experts that were divided according to the specifications of the
project. We recruited and subcontracted senior IT engineers for QA, .NET, SharePoint, Java, mobile/tablet development
(iOS and Android native development).
Every project had clearly defined the requirements, timelines and customer expectations. According to this, the collaboration
was either time and material, coordinated by the clients Project Manager or with local management from PureQuad.
The most significant activities were:
QA we have ensured testing for some of the biggest brands in the world in the luxury goods domain. (we worked on over
15 projects on multiple continents)
Java we developed a suite of security applications for PC, Mac, Android for mobile and tablets, iOS for mobile and
tablets.
.NET and Share Point developing a complex solution the project is ongoing and requires over 3 years of developing
and testing

Results
We proved flexible and sensitive in working with Atos for the successful completion of all projects, by overcoming
inherent staffing challenges, while delivering cost savings of around 40%.
The clients cost with recruitment and training was also reduced as PureQuad was able to provide the right resources at
a better price, which allowed us to become a trustworthy supplier.
We have delivered all projects in time and budget according to the deadlines set by the customers.
98% of the requested people were identified in the Romanian market and recruited in the given timeframe
We have successfully delivered all the projects at the quality standards imposed by the customers (testing was also
executed by our QA specialists for every single deliverable)
The recruited personnel had the right skill sets to work well together and finish all the required tasks.
For all projects, the teams delivered all the agreed scope
The client trust was gained very fast and due to that, our managers were empowered to take decisions in the projects
