work. You must try and place the work into the correct level. Wherever possible
you should use a best fit model, this means that you take an overall view rather
than harshly penalising for one fault. Use the space provided to give specific
examples and write a summary comment at the bottom of the page. You are

Summary Comment

The photographs used in this magazine mostly include elements of the mise-en-scene that
are appropriate due to reasonable framing, however, a few of the photographs exclude
necessary parts of the subjects. Most of the models in the photographs are positioned at
similar distances and similar mise-en-scene can be seen; this makes the magazine look
repetitive and may be boring to the audience. The photographs have not been
manipulated a large amount, however they still look suitable for the magazine. The text in
the magazine contains many mistakes in spelling and grammar; this prevents it from
looking professional. This magazine follows conventions and layout of page design quite
accurately and it uses alternating fonts and font sizes throughout, this is not perfectly done
though. Finally, this magazine uses ICT appropriately for the task set, as the correct use of
Photoshop is clear to see.

The photographs used in this magazine mostly include elements of the mise-en-scene that
are appropriate due to reasonable framing, however, a few of the photographs on the
double page spread exclude necessary parts of the subjects. The models in the
photographs are positioned at multiple different distances and a range of appropriate mise-
en-scene can be seen; this makes the magazine fit the genre and it prevents it from being

boring to the audience. The photographs have not been manipulated a large amount,
however they still look suitable for the magazine. The text in the magazine contains many
mistakes in spelling and grammar; this prevents it from looking professional. This
magazine follows conventions and layout of page design quite accurately on all of the
pages and it uses the same two fonts and similar font sizes throughout. Finally, this
magazine uses ICT appropriately for the task set, as the correct use of Photoshop is clear
to see.

Summary Comment

The framing of the photographs in this magazine is minimal because of the misuse of
canted angles and the exclusion of key elements of models and mise-en-scene. The
distances of the models in the photographs vary very slightly and the mise-en-scene is not
entirely appropriate to the genre of music. The language and register in this magazine is
acceptable as there are only few spelling or grammatical errors. The text and photographs

are not integrated very well at all as the contents page contains page contains many boxes
with non-centred text and the double page spread contains text boxes alongside
photographs in a way that follows no clear layout; this looks very messy and basic. This
magazine very few differentiating fonts and font sizes, this makes it look repetitive and
boring. Finally, this magazine uses ICT acceptably for the task set, although it does not
show the use of advanced skills in Photoshop.

then two pieces of work from classmates. Use the space provided to give

impressive. The text in the magazine contains very few mistakes in spelling and grammar;
this makes it look professional also. The text on the double page spreads of this magazine
follows conventions and clear page layouts, however the text on the double page spread is
slightly misaligned with the title. The magazine uses alternating fonts and font sizes
throughout. Finally, this magazine uses ICT appropriately for the task set, as the correct
use of Photoshop is clear to see.
