Educating All Students For Success

March 9, 2017

To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the pleasure of working with Megan Dick the last two years at Edward Titche Elementary in Dallas
Independent School District. When Megan entered the doors of the school, as a returning teacher on a turnaround
campus, I was not sure what to expect. Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to engage with an innovative,
thoughtful, and motivated individual. Throughout the last two years, Ive watched her grow as a respected leader
among her colleagues and a gracious team player. Ms. Dick is organized, meticulous, efficient and demonstrates a
strong rapport with people of all ages, especially children.

Ms. Dick has served as a team lead for the Kindergarten and now First Grade Team. As a team lead, I have
witnessed her lead crucial conversations amongst her team and advocate proactively for team initiatives to
increase student learning. Megans impact has always reached students beyond the four walls of her own
classroom. This impact has grown over the last 2 years from supporting her grade level team, to building
elementary coherence in the balanced literacy block, to developing and implementing school wide systems by
leading professional development around literacy.

There is not a student or staff member at Titche that has not benefited from Megan Dicks innovation and support.
Ms. Dick assumes multiple roles in the building and handles any obstacles that come her way with a calm
demeanor. Megan serves as a lead PBIS facilitator at Edward Titche and has been integral in the formation of the
team and schoolwide implementation of the program. Megan is an individual who can thrive in the face of
adversity and challenge. She assumes multiple roles in the building and handles any obstacles that come her way
with a calm demeanor. Ms. Dick works collaboratively with her team, seeking feedback and ideas on how to best
implement the practices around coherent instructional blocks.

Megan Dick is dedicated to the field of education, demonstrates a growth mindset and will continue to set high
expectations for herself and those around her. Her passion and dedication to change the face of education for
students in urban education is admirable and contagious. Ms. Dick would make a wonderful addition to your
school by bringing a level of excellent work ethic and success. If you need any further information, you can reach
