The diversity in this training comes mainly from the different levels of
technological use. Some teachers are more able to use technology, while others are
still learning basics of any type of technology.

VII. Technology Inclusion:

MacBook/PC Laptop
Projector
Chromebook

VIII. Prior Knowledge: Teachers will need prior knowledge for this training, all knowledge
comes from the first three lessons.
Lesson Placement in the Unit: This is lesson 4 of 4.

Procedures:
1. Lesson Introduction / Anticipatory Set:
Teachers will be put into groups and have to teach their minilessons. They will need to
be prepared to discuss at the end of all lessons the positives and negatives of each
lesson.

2. Direct Instruction:
This lesson is focused on putting into practice everything learned from the previous
lessons. Direct instruction will be in the form of independent discussions. Moderator
will consistenly be moving around the room and giving help when needed. Moderator
will act as an outside view of what the teachers are working on and give teachers
instruction to develop information more or less to help understanding.

3. Student Interaction with lesson content / Guided Practice:

Teachers will be instructed to create a mind map using Popplet. This mind map will
need to cover all information about Chromebooks that teachers feel are important,
needed, or will help them in developing their technology use. On this map, teachers
will also need to create their technology use policy and goals for their classrooms.
Popplet allows teachers to make main topics and branch off from there. This will give
the administration an accurate view of how they should expect to see the technology
used in the following school year.

4. Review / Closure:
Everyone will end the lesson reviewing information that they feel is vital to bringing in
this new technology into the school. The teachers will have an open ended conversation
and discussion. This will provide as a closure to the entire training sessions.
IX. Evaluation/Assessment:
1. Teachers will be required to send their mind map to the technology coordinator and to
the administrator for viewing. This mind map should also be used for students to
understand what the teacher will be wanting to use the Chrombooks for.

X. Risk Analysis:
Risk that exist from this lesson are mainly technological. Any piece of the technology and
websites can have a malfunction. Another risk is that of teacher preparedness. Some of the
teachers are harder to work with than others when it comes to technology, therefore this
could provide difficulties for the instructor.
