Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 47, s. 2014 as execute through Division Memorandum
No. 27, s. 2017 in relation to the conduct of Supreme Student Government (SSG)
Elections for S.Y. 2017-2018, the following have been agreed upon by the SSG
Commission on Elections:
1. All the parties which have been conferred upon by the the COMELEC approved
by its adviser and SSG adviser, respectively should observe the following
schedule of election activities:
2. For room to room campaign, all parties shall have 15 minutes campaign in every
classroom. The party president shall have the discretion to allocate the time
allotted to his/her party whether for presentation or speech.
3. Party A will be scheduled to Grade 7 (4 sections) for one (1) hour. Party B will be
scheduled to Grade 8 (4 sections) for one (1) hour. Party C will be scheduled to
Grade to Grade 9 (4 sections) for one (1) hour then they will proceed to the next
preceding grade level reaching grade 11. Forty-five (45) minutes is allotted to
Grade 10 with 3 sections while thirty (30) minutes is allocated to Grade 11 with
only two (2) sections. The campaign will last for 4 hours and 15 minutes. Hence,
the campaign will start from 7:30-11:45 am.
4. Meeting de Avance will start at 1:00 pm until the program ends before 5:00 pm.
Series of common questions will be thrown to the president and vice president
candidates in which they will be given maximum of 2 minutes to answer. Three
questions will be asked coming from their opponents and 1 from the COMELEC.
After such activity, the candidates in the lower position shall be given time to
campaign for the last time whereby they will be given a maximum speech of 1
minute. Every teacher must encourage their students to participate the activity.
5. The election proper will commence at exactly 8:00 pm. Every student must
participate in the exercise of their suffrage. Teachers shall guide and verify the
identity of their students. The election will be on manual basis so each voter is
expected to bring their own pen. The COMELEC will summon each section for
proper coordination from Grade 7 11. The venue will be inside the classroom
of _______, it will end at exactly 12:00 nn.
6. The counting and canvassing of votes will take place at 1:00 pm within that day
and the winners will be proclaimed as soon as the canvassing last and where all
the commissioners signed en banc.
