"Fixture. The fixture shall be provided for

outdoor wide-beam floodlight with build-in
controlgear (ballast, capacitor, ignitor etc.).
The housing shall be corrosion resistant
aluminum alloy and the reflector shall be
anodized high purity aluminum. The front
glass shall be thermal shock resistant safety
glass with the silicone rubber gasket. All metal
parts shall be made of non-corrosive material.
The fixture shall be jetproof, dustproof and
shall conform to IP55, DrN, VDE, lEe class!."

Paragraph I "Cap and Pin. The cap and pin shall be of such
design that it will not yield or distort under·~e
specified mechanical load in such a manner as

terminal shall be tubular and made of first

"Quality Conformance Tests. Number of

samples required, for each lot of station post
insulator, for the tests shall be performed in
accordance with ANSI C29.9 except that
specifically noted herein.

(a) Visual and dimension test.

(b) Porosity test.

(e) Galvanizing test.

(d) Cantilever strength test. Number of

samples shall be 0.5 % of the number of
insulators in the lot. If the percentage does not
give a whole number, then the next whole
number above shall be chosen.

(e) Tensile strength test. Number of samples

shall be 0.5 % of the number of insulators in
the lot. If the percentage does not give a

 whole number, then the next whole number
above shall be chosen.

(f) Creepage distance measurement. One unit

of each rating and type shall be subject to this
test. The test shall be perfonncd on insulators
being supply."

1001.140 1001-4 1001-4.27.4 Add the following sub-clause:

Design Tests. These tests may be omitted if a

design test record can be submitted.

(a) Corona and RIV test (For 500 kV

miscellaneous hardware only).

1001.141 1001-4 1001.4.31 a Delete (c) Temperature rise test

1001.142 1001-4 1001.4.31 b Add (g) Temperature rise test. One unit of each
rating shall be subject to this test. The test shall
be perfonned on battery charger being supply.

1001.152 1001-3 1001-3.16.1.2 a Revise the article to be read as follows.

":I<'ixture. The fixture shall be provided .for

outdoor use with built-in control gear (balhist,
capacitor, ignitor, etc.) and shall be post-top
mounted bottom support with 76 mm fixing
diameter. The canopy and base shall be
corrosion resistant aluminum alloy. The
diffuser shall be made of UV -stabilized clear
poly-carbonate or heat shock resistant clear
glass. All metal parts shall be made of non­
corrosive material. The tixture shall be
weatherprooL dust-protected and shall confonn
to IP54. DIN, VDE. lEe class 1."
