Script
window
The size of the scenes is proportional to the number of lines. The wider the space the
longer the scene.
By clicking on any Scene (or Act, etc.) the Script will go to that point.
If you pass the mouse over the Scene, the Scene Heading will appear.
By double-clicking on Dramatic
Units, besides name and summary,
you may also write the subtext of
each Dramatic Unit.
It is possible to zoom into any region of the script. Just drag one
end of the Zoom Bar or roll the mouse.
3. Tracks
4. Values
5. Emotions
6. Analyst
The applied element/event icon will appear in the left margin of the Script, with the
exception of the analyst, that will appear on the right margin.
1. Macrostructure
2. Objective / Obstacle
Macrostructure allows to follow the main events of the story. Apply it directly
on the script and a window will pop up for editing.
It is possible to change the value of the character by clicking and dragging up or down directly its bar on
the graph.
The width of each bar is proportional to the size of the scene the character is in.
Create a TRACK by clicking on the icon in the Control Window and apply to script by dragging it
directly to the desired scene.
You can write a summary or explanation in each application.
Select the TRACK you want to see in the graph in the Control Window.
You can visualize them either in bar or strip form by using the composed view tab, as well as in the
characters graph.
It is possible to change
the intensity of the Value
by dragging up or down
any point on the curve.
Emotions may
vary from 0 to 10,
according to their
intensity, as a
continuous curve.
For example, Emotions
can be: Tension,
Humor, Trickery,
Suspense, etc.
By clicking once on any point of the curve, the Script will go to that point.
It is possible to change the Value of the emotion by dragging up or down any point of the
curve.
When adding a comment to the script for the first time, define the analysts name and color.
The SMARTTYPE function works on the comment titles as well. You will therefore be able to
repeat titles in other comments you make without having to rewrite them again.
You can alter the value of your comments directly on the graph by dragging it up or down.
To alter your name, color and SMARTTYPE title options, go to Preferences > Analyst Options or press
Command or Ctrl.
To erase the Blank Scene just backspace it from the script directly.
