Abortion

How do you feel about abortion? Should it be legal or not? Sometimes in situations

women have no choice but to choose abortion as their option. In the U.S today about 59% of the

world say that abortion should be legal everywhere and 37% percent say abortion should be

illegal. Women should always have the right to choice what to do with their body no matter the

situations. Abortion is a very serious topic in today's society and needs to be brought up more.

Women should have the right to have control over their own body. Sometimes in early

pregnancy the fetus is not yet human. When the baby is turning into a human being then yes the

mother is killing her baby, but the choice should be hers and shes having the abortion for a

specific reason. Some reasonings for abortion can be from being raped, not being able to afford

a baby, or even being too young to have one. Teenage pregnancy happens a lot in our society

and what most teens do to keep the news from friends and family they decide to abort the

baby.Being raped and then getting pregnant can remind the women of the trauma she

experienced.

Abortions can cause result in medical complications such as not being able to have a

baby again. Women who do have their babies from being raped can sometimes be distant from

their child just because of the horror they went through or is like denying someone. During

abortion the fetus can actually feel the pain from the procedure. Proper medical care can ensure

that a women will not get pregnant from rape. Many states in the U.S enact their own
restrictions with abortions in the past few years. When at the beginning of the the pregnancy the

fetus cannot survive outside of the uterus.

Women aborting a child is killing a fetus/human being, therefore the baby could have

been an important part of society once the baby was grown. Unborn babies are considered by

the U.S government human beings(con 1). About 38 states have passed the law where it is

illegal to abort a baby just because they still think of the fetus as a human being. Some people

believe that abortion is killing a human being which defies the word of God(con 4). Abortion may

also increase the risk of women having subsequent depression.

Women who do receive abortions are less likely to suffer mental health problems than

women denied by abortion(pro 7). For a fact abortion gives pregnant women the option to

choose not to bring fetuses with profound abnormalities to full term(pro 8). It can be cruel to

force women to carry fetuses with fatal congenital defects to term or with a nonfatal congenital

condition can be down syndrome. Women who become denied of abortion are most likely to

become unemployed, to be on public welfare, to be below the public poverty line, or even

become victims of domestic violence(pro 9).

Everyone does have their own opinion on abortion no matter the proof or evidence of

what abortion can do to a women or even her significant other. In the U.S studies show that men

who have been apart of aborting their child are found that 51.6% of men are reported regret,

45.2% feel sadness, and 25.8% have experienced depression. Abortion do have effects on both

men and women.Even though it is the woman's choice to abort the child it should also be the

male's choice unless the women was apart of a rape crime. Each male has his own way of

coping with an abortion of their child whether its good or bad. There are some fathers who

oppose the choice to abort the baby and their are some fathers who support the choice of

aborting their child.

In conclusion yes aborting a human being is bad because that baby could be very

important once day in life, but it is the women's choice and right to do with whatever she wants
to do with her own body. Why should we make women keep their child and remind them of the

experience they went through. In my opinion abortion should be legal but only to a certain

amount of weeks of the women's pregnancy.
