ANALYST - MARKETING STRATEGY & PLANNING MARKET DEVELOPMENT

Looking at candidates who can provide targeted research and support marketing planners by
leveraging strong marketing research, analysis, and synthesizing skills. Someone with
experience in managing projects, building relationships, sharing new ideas, and working in
teams. Someone who has a flair for marketing research, is open to learn, and can quickly
adapt to changing business requirements.

Key skills and professional experience:


Experience of 1-2 years in research and marketing and interacting with clients based in US
Sound knowledge of secondary research skills is a must and a basic understanding of
databases like Factiva, OneSource, Hoovers, Thomson, BoardEx, etc. will be an added
advantage
Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to follow broader instructions and deliver as per expectations with limited guidance
Ability to present data analysis in intuitive graphical and tabular formats.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Basic understanding of key social media platforms Twitter, LinkedIn, SlideShare, etc.
Should be innovative, take initiative, and adapt to changes per the business requirements
Attention to detail with strong ownership of the tasks assigned
Excellent team player with experience working in virtual teams

Work youll do

As an Analyst in the USI Marketing Strategy & Planning (MS&P) team you would conduct
secondary research on sectors, markets, functions; conduct analysis; assist in preparation of
reports/updates with minimal guidance from senior members in the team. Should be able to
quickly analyze information, spot exceptions or trends, and conduct required follow-up.
Should be team-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple activities and competing
demands simultaneously.

Key job responsibilities include:

Responsible for supporting Deloittes U.S.-based Industry/Functions/Marketplace teams


with standardized marketing templates and tools to aid in developing client-facing materials.
Perform analysis to develop stronger client relationships more successful marketing
programs. For example, Coordinators may help provide summary reports to track key client
contact and relationship metrics (e.g., attendance at Deloitte-sponsored events,
subscriptions to newsletters, etc.).
Regularly interact with U.S.-based marketing teams and other Marketing & Business
Development groups within Deloitte to understand and adapt to the changing requirements.
Conduct company and industry research, analyze, and share findings in a presentable
format
Collect and distribute industry-specific news and analysis to client team on a regular basis.
Develop and share marketing materials with account team contacts.
Maintain client contact information in Deloittes Client Relationship Management (CRM) and
send out invitations to marketing events
Help create standard protocols, reference material, and tools for developing client-facing
marketing materials
The team

The Marketing Strategy & Planning (MS&P) team is part of the broader Market Development
group. The USI MS&P team supports Strategic Marketing Planners (SMPs) in developing and
implementing a business-wide marketing strategy and plan across industries, regions and
functions. The team provides a wide range of services, which help the SMPs and Partners,
Principals, and Directors (PPDs) expand client relationships and build Deloittes presence and
reputation in the market. It develops research-based insights through company and executive
profiles, newsletters, event placemats, research material, competitive intelligence, and
marketing brochures to equip leadership teams drive strategic initiatives and win business for
the firm.

Qualifications
Required:
Any Graduate Degree
MBA or an equivalent Masters Degree
